Aquaboulevard
Boasting the title of Europe’s largest urban waterpark, Paris’ Aquaboulevard—located just over the Périphérique in the city’s southwest—is a popular destination for families year-round, given its indoor-outdoor setting. Featuring two wave pools, 11 water slides, a lazy river, and more, Aquaboulevard has enough attractions to keep you busy for an entire day.
The Basics
Aquaboulevard’s sprawling interior features all-weather water slides (overseen by a lifesize great blue whale), wave pools, a rope swing, Jacuzzis, and a wakeboard simulator. Its open-air attractions, accessible during the warmer months, include more water slides, a lazy river, and sandy stretch of artificial beach kitted out with straw huts from Mauritius. To make your visit as smooth as possible, book your admission tickets online to guarantee entry and save waiting in line on the day.
Things to Know Before You Go
- Aquaboulevard is open to younger visitors aged 3 and up; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Inflatable arm bands are provided for kids 6 and under.
- Lifeguards, CCTV footage, and security posts are located throughout the park to ensure visitors’ safety.
- Make sure you bring Euro coins to use the park’s provided lockers.
- Men are asked to wear fitted briefs or speedo-style swimsuits rather than loose boxer-short-style swimwear. Need to purchase a swimsuit? There is a Decathlon sporting goods shop on site.
How to Get There
Aquaboulevard is located in Paris’ 15th arrondissement, just across the busy Boulevard Périphérique. If traveling via public transportation, the nearest stations are Balard (on Métro Line 8), Corentin Celton (on Line 12), and Issy Val de Seine (served by the RER C). You can also reach the area by various bus services and by taxi.

When to Get There
During the winter off-season, Aquaboulevard is only open on the weekend (except bank holidays and school holidays, when it’s open on select weekdays), from early in the morning until late in the evening. During the summer, it’s open daily from morning until evening.
Highlights of the 15th Arrondissement
Located in southwestern Paris, the 15th arrondissement falls off many visitors’ radars—but it’s the most populous arrondissement in Paris and worth sticking around to discover how locals live. Attractions close to Aquaboulevard include the Parc André Citroën (a modernist city park), Île aux Cygnes (a manmade island in the Seine), and the Rue de Commerce (a lively market and shopping street).
