The museum is housed in the same building as the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent, which was founded in 2002 and offered a smaller selection of displays before the museum opened. With double the exhibition space, the museum can feature more of Saint Laurent’s pieces, such as his Le Smoking tuxedo suit, Mondrian dress, and trench coat.

How to get there
Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris is located on the eastern edge of the 16th arrondissement, a couple of blocks north of the River Seine. It can be reached on the Metro from the Alma-Marceau station and the RER from the Alma-Marceau station. It’s a 20-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower.

Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris is open Tuesday to Sunday from late morning to early evening, with extended evening hours on Fridays. Reserved group tours take place in the mornings before the museum is open to the public.
