Queens Gardens Tours and Tickets
Though it isn’t the largest garden in Perth, Queens Gardens has an elegant simplicity that makes it a local favorite. Tucked away in East Perth, next to the WACA cricket ground, Queens Gardens is impeccably manicured and home to families of swans, who casually cruise on the peaceful ponds amidst the pelicans and ducks. Take a break from the city hustle on a casual stroll through the park, where walking paths weave beneath 100-year old trees, and children slide on pieces of cardboard while racing down grassy hills. While taking a leisurely stroll through the park, look for the brown, wooden park bench from the movie, Notting Hill, which was anonymously donated to the City of Perth by presumably one of its residents. So, too, do the gardens feature a statue of Peter Pan—an exact replica of the famous statue in London’s Kensington Gardens, and signed by the author, J.M. Barrie, who penned the famous tale.
