Wanneroo Botanic Gardens
The Basics
The 5-acre (2-hectare) Wanneroo Botanic Gardens feature more than 500 species of plants and trees and a large array of native birds and wildlife. Just 30 minutes from Perth, the garden offers a serene escape from the bustle of city life. Tours are self-guided, so you can stroll the grounds at your own pace, enjoying the colorful and seasonally changing flower displays and collection of trees—from large eucalypts to lush palms—that complement each other in texture, shape, and style. You can combine your garden visit with a round of miniature golf or afternoon tea at the on-site restaurant.

When to Get There
The garden is open year-round from Tuesday through Sunday (except December 25 and 26). With seasonally changing flower displays, the garden is an attractive destination all year round. November and December are especially picturesque, as Christmas displays take over the garden, covering palms, pine trees, and walking trails with twinkling fairy lights.
Miniature Golf
Wanneroo Botanic Gardens’ 18-hole miniature golf and 18-hole billiard golf courses combine to make up Australia's largest outdoor miniature golf complex. During the day—or with a light-up LED golf ball at night—visitors can tackle obstacles, curves, ramps, and challenges while admiring the botanical garden setting.
