In this day we will drive you to meet the owners and wine maker of the wine estates, and with them make a guided tour of their wine presses, cellars and taste the oldest wines present in the family generations. So your day starts with a short pedestrian walk over the bridge over the Douro River and then we will visit a special wine producer, a family wine estate with unique characteristics. Here you can taste some regional products as well as taste very old Port wine. After that, we will go down the river to see the road that was naturally designed on the banks of the Douro. We will have a unique gastronomy experience with a privileged view over the Douro in DOC Restaurant. The private boat trip up the river towards Pinhão will have some surprises and will be a moment to relax. In this small village we will visit a producer who will let us know the family history and his legacy by tasting the most exclusive wines.

You’ll snap photos over the Douro River and visit a typical Quinta for a wine tasting experience. See other sites like a historic train station, visit Lamego and Se’s Cathedral, and drink up a variety of port wines and sample olive oils from around the region.

I start by asking you, do you really want to feel the Douro and live a Genuine and Authentic experience? If so, you have found the right place ... I will invite you to start a quiet and full of walking (aromatic plants, vineyards, olive trees, flowers) along the paths and vineyards of a village with very traditional Douro people. Here you just have to enjoy all nature, panoramic views, mountains, birds, and many more that your soul and body will surely feel. The walk is about 5km, easy, almost always downhill. And since after these kilometers we will need to replenish energy, nothing better than a very typical lunch, with very homemade food, where many of the foods used in the preparation of this meal comes directly from the Thursday where will be lunch. With me you’ll se the Douro Valley through the eyes of a local. Before I start doing tours I used to work for a big group of wine producers, where I learn about wines and it’s production. Because I’m a local I know the best places in the valley. If you want to have the real experience just book with me. - We’ll start the day with a boat trip during one hour, a port will be served and also a guide passing informations about the places we’ll pass. - Visit to the oldest Port Brand, there you’ll have a tour, 3 different ports to taste, cheese board to pair, and also 3 different olive oils to taste. In the end you’ll have a cocktail Port and tonic. - Stop in a view point for pictures and 2 more ports will be served there. - Lunch in a manor house from 1735 (magical place, it seems we are back in time. Good quality food and DOC wines. - Visit to the property and more old ports to taste. - Altogether you’ll taste 13 different drinks (ports, table wines, and a cocktail).
