Koala Reserve (Koala Conservation Centre)

1810 Phillip Island Rd, Phillip Island , VIC, Australia, 3923

The Basics

Visit the Koala Reserve’s interpretation center to learn about the animals; take a woodland walk through the native bush; or join a ranger-led tour. Koalas aren’t the only ones at the reserve, either—look for wallabies, possums, echidnas, and snakes.

Go on your own, or as part of a group or private excursion around Phillip Island. Guided tours typically also stop by the Penguin Parade conservation park. The Koala Reserve is part of the Phillip Island Nature Parks group—to save money on admission, purchase a combo ticket that includes several of the group’s attractions.

Wonderful day tour to see some wildlife and get out of the city!
Koalas, wallabies and penguins, oh my! A wonderful excursion with an awesome guide! Having multiple stops was nice to break up the long drive out.

Phillip Island Penguin and Koala Highlights Day-Trip from Melbourne
Our tour guide, bus driver and bus were excellent. The penguins were spectacular. I would highly recommend this tour. And, don’t forget to dress for cold and rain in the rainy season.

Premium Phillip Island Penguin Parade Tour with Koala Conservation Reserve
Our guide, Dandy (Nathan), was excellent. He was informative, funny and showed us some great parts of the island in addition to the scheduled stops. The Koala conservation center provided for close up viewing of the animals. The numbers of penguins at the little penguin parade was incredible.

Phillip Island Penguin and Koala Highlights Day-Trip from Melbourne
The tour guide was spectacular and so full of kindness and energy. The sights were a little disappointing. The Koala reserve only had a few and some of the penguin viewing was far away where you needed binoculars. Overall a good experience.
