"The cliff jumping was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. This tour does require exertion so please read the print about being able to swim and it does have a moderate level of physical activity. Some parts were challenging for me navigating and scaling large rocks because I am only 5'1". The current going towards the waterfalls are strong and we visited in the dry season so I can only imagine during the wet season it being much more difficult. Erica our tour guide and Paul our driver were great! Erica & Paul took pictures and videos of us during our tour and emailed them to us the next day so we have a great video of us cliff jumping. We communicated through Whatsapp which I highly recommend if you don't already have the app downloaded as this is a primary source of communication for everyone in Costa Rica."

"This tour was absolutely breathtaking! Words cannot express truly how magical the experience was. The hike to the waterfall which is the first stop is roughly 3.5 miles and is moderately difficult as you will be going up and down a lot of steps but it’s so worth it! After you see the waterfall, you then will stop at 3 pools which are breathtaking and incredibly refreshing after the hike. We purchased the private tour that comes with champagne afterwards and it was just lovely. When you’re done, they take you back to the main house for a hole cooked meal of your choice (they provide options) and some refreshing drinks. They also have a cute book to write about your experience! Our tour guide Genesis was so lovely and full of knowledge! She definitely made the tour so much more fun!"

"This zipline excursion was perfect for our family! It was only 5 mins from Planet Hollywood Resort (we were back in 1.5 hours so we still had time to relax at the hotel). Manny and Juan were great! My son, 11 years old, said that this was his favorite part of our trip!"

"Great experience if you want to explore jungle diversity. This attraction is a lost paradise, the guide (Walter) has amazing knowledge on plants, animals and history of his jungle. We spent an unbelievable time with him. The must is when you finish your hike in a natural hot springs. "What a perfect way to spend in Costa Rica! Our guide Carlos was amazing and knowledgeable! He went out of his way to make our experience very personal did not rush us through any part of the tour. He stopped at roadside stands to get fresh fruit and took us time showing and telling us all he know on our trek through the sloth sanctuary- finding animals and taking great pictures! Carlos know so much about his home country and loves to share and educate others! There were so many great things about the day we spent with Carlos! Too many to list- but everything, everything was just perfect !"

All words and phrases to help describe the experience that my husband and I had during our personalized guided hike with Playa Grande tours in Costa Rica. It was a 10/10 experience, and I could have not asked for more from our Playa Grande tour guide and also the super fun, infectious-spirited gentlemen, Cesar, who lead us our trek through the rainforest, to the breathtaking La Leona waterfall. Please note my husband and I are very fit and active so Cesar took us on a harder route, but he will customize the route for all fitness levels. On our personalized hike, we swam through rivers, cliff-jumped, climbed through small crevices in the rocks because we wanted to immerse ourselves in the Pura Vida experience. So, if you are physically fit, or even just moderately fit, request the adventurous route. If not, he will adjust the hike to your level, so do not worry! After the hike, we had a delicious local lunch and one of our favorite meals of the trip, and ended the hike with a trip to the most beautiful natural hot springs deep in the rainforest.
