"We went Sunday afternoon and it was fantastic. The Cat is beautiful, the staff is excellent and the trip was wonderful. I have very bad legs and use a cane, all the employees made sure that I was doing well and enjoying myself the entire trip. Everyone on the boat looked like they were having a wonderful time. "We were on a cruise and booked this tour independently of the ship. We were able to get picked up at the dock and they were very accommodating. The tour had only 6 people and two very informative local guides who spoke English well and knew a lot about the mangrove vegetation and animals. We spent over 2 hours going leisurely through the mangroves and saw many monkeys, birds, iguanas, snakes and a small crocodile. Paddling was very easy and we were able to go into some of the smaller channels which the boat tours could not get to and we could go slower and get closer to the animals. The guides were great about finding the animals and giving informative details on them. At the end of the tour we stopped back at the tour office where they served a local lunch of rice beans and chicken. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Time on the bus only about 15-20 minutes each way. At our request, they dropped us off back in downtown Quepos where we could walk back to the ship. Use plenty of sunscreen, where a hat and while the bugs didn't seem bad, apply bug spray also. This"

"WOW !! The chocolate tour was led by Gregory and assisted by Grace. They were fantastic. We were only in an area of maybe 1k sqmt or 11K sqft, and we learned about cacao (base for chocolate), coffee and sugar cane. And, we were able to taste all of those, with seemingly no end. In addition, we learned about several other plants that grow in Costa Rica, including the easy-to-grow lapiz plant. You should definitely ask for Gregory !! The Manuel Antonio Park Tour was led by Christian, another amazing tour guide. We were picked up at our hotel, picked up Gregory and then headed to the Park. We learned so much and had several great National Geographic-worthy photos and video with the aid of Christian's spotting scope. Among other things, we were able to take home video of a baby sloth clinging to her mom, moving around a bit and yawning the morning away; videos and photos of hummingbirds, monkeys and number other creatures. We didn't stay long at the beaches, but they alone are worth the entrance fee to the park, already included in the price of the tour."

"There is a huge sense of adventure about taking a boat and winding our way through mangrove lined waters of the Sierpe River and then heading out into the Pacific Ocean - this apparently is the only way to reach Corcovado forest! How unique is that! On the way we got to see lots of dolphins, one of the dolphins pirouetted straight out of the water right in front of our very eyes. At the forest, we walked on the beach and deep into the forest to experience a wide spectrum of flora and fauna - tapir and its baby resting amongst the trees, ant eater, curasaw, black guan, spider and squirrel monkeys, blue headed motmot, white whiskered puff bird, roadside hawk, collared pecari, fers de lance, toucans, three toed sloth. It was a long day but breakfast and lunch were provided. We stopped to have a tasty lunch in dorm in the serenity of the forest. Manuel and Carlos were very attentive to details - they provided us with waterproof wellies/boots as we squelched through the deeper parts of the forest. Manuel took the most amazing snaps and videos and air dropped them to us. It took away from the angst of having to capture the perfect moments because the perfect moments were being captured by him. Peppered the trip with interesting facts mixed with humour and kept us engaged. Would definitely do the tour again and would definitely recommend the tour to all!"
