How to Get There

Xocomil Water Park is located inside the Xetutul Theme Park in the Retalhuleu department, in southeastern Guatemala, about 100 miles (160 kilometers) from Antigua and about 115 miles (185 kilometers) from Guatemala City. Expect about 3-4 hours on the road. From Antigua, take the bus to Mazatenango and take a short taxi ride the rest of the way. From the capital, take a bus to Quetzaltenango; the park is an additional 45 minutes away.

When to Get There

The water park is open Thursday through Sunday from morning to early evening. To beat the crowds, visit on a Thursday or Friday. Guatemala has a pleasant climate all year long so you can visit during any time of the year.

Xetulul Theme Park

The water park is a part of a gigantic shrine to fun and pampering. The third largest amusement park of Latin America, Xetulul has 3 roller coasters, a spa, and four luxury hotels. Capable of handling 12,000 visitors a day, the park is divided into plazas featuring architecture from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland. Each plaza features themed attractions, shows, and restaurants.
