The Basics

A soak in the famous Blue Lagoon is a must for visitors to Reykjavik. Booking ahead is required, and there are several options and extras to choose from, including towels, bathrobes, spa treatments, and special face masks. On-site facilities include a hotel, restaurant, café, bar, and spa shop.

Tours are the easiest and most convenient way to experience the lagoon complex, as most include hotel pickup and round-trip transport from Reykjavik. Some even combine a Blue Lagoon visit with other activities such as a city sightseeing tour, a Golden Circle tour, or a whale-watching cruise.

Icelandic Adventure
A great way to start our Icelandic adventure by doing the Golden Circle, Kerid Crater and finishing the day chilling at the Blue Lagoon. Our tour company and in particular our guide for the day Aksel were great .... picked up on time, very informative and made sure we had an enjoyable day. Would i recommend this tour ? Yes and great way to see the sights of this beautiful island has to offer.

All I can say is ‘wow’!!! The Blue Lagoon didn’t disappoint at all. The experience is not to be missed. The face masks and drinks bars were brilliant fun. The atmosphere was amazing and the changing rooms were beautifully clean and tidy. To top it all off we saw the Northern Lights as we were leaving. Memories to last a lifetime!!

Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon Including Admission & Kerid Volcanic Crater
It was a very long tour but all the stops were well planned and we saw everything on the itinerary and arrived at Blue Lagoon just after the sun set. Overall an excellent tour, clean bus and adequate time at all sights. I would recommend this tour for all first time visitors. The pickup from the bus-stop was easy too!

Golden Circle Day Tour Including Blue Lagoon Admission from Reykjavik
We had the best time on these excursions, from first pick up in the morning to the drop off at night. Very well organised and planned, each sight had facilities to cater for pretty much everyone, although a bit pricey (but that's expected). Would definitely recommend the golden circle and blue lagoon tour, the waterfall was the highlight for us but all very good and the guides were very informative.

The Blue Lagoon Comfort Package Including Transfers
When you come to Iceland Bathing in the Blue Lagoon is an essential experience. Once there they pretty much explain the whole process although it could have been a bit clearer how the lockers work. Minor thing though. Just Go!!!!!

Meradalir Volcano Hike & Blue Lagoon Tour from Reykjavík - Admission Included
We had a most amazing climb up an active volcano, which was very cold going up above the recent solidified lava flow, followed by a leisurely swim in the Blue Lagoon, at freezing temperatures in the air above but surprisingly hot in the water beneath - fire and ice in both spots!

The blue lagoon is beautiful!! The facility is very clean and well run. The check in process was very fast despite a whole bus load of people coming in at once. The lagoon is so warm and beautiful! Would highly recommend.

The Healing Powers of the Blue Lagoon

The geothermal waters of the Blue Lagoon are typically heated to between 98°F and 104°F (37°C and 40°C), and are famous for their high levels of silica, algae, and minerals, which explain the lagoon's cloudy blue appearance. The mineral-rich waters have long been reputed for their healing properties and are reported to help skin conditions including psoriasis and eczema. If you'd like to do more than soak, there is also a sauna, steam room, man-made waterfall, silica mud masks, and in-water massages.
