Sandy Bay is located on the north shore of Roatan, not far from the West End. The easiest way to get there is by taxi or as part of an organized tour.

The ideal time to enjoy the beach in Sandy Bay is between March and May, when the weather tends to be dry and warm. For a quieter beach experience, avoid days when cruise ships are moored in Roatan.

Sandy Bay Beach is a favorite among many travelers to Roatan, but it’s far from the only appealing option. Crystal clear water and bright white sand make West Bay Beach one of Honduras’ most beautiful, while Marbella Beach on the north coast is almost always empty of people.
