SEA LIFE® San Diego Aquarium
Part of the LEGOLAND California Resort located just north of San Diego proper, the SEA LIFE® Aquarium comprises numerous habitat areas, diving shows, and other educational activities across 16 interactive zones. Home to jellyfish exhibits and tide pool touch tanks, sharks and octopi, freshwater and saltwater species, San Diego’s SEA LIFE Aquarium introduces visitors to hundreds of marine creatures spread across numerous exhibition areas. Things to know before you go
*Tickets to SEA LIFE Aquarium can be booked independently, while “hopper” tickets, which include entry to multiple parks at the LEGOLAND California Resort, are also available. *Various talks and feeding sessions are held at regular intervals throughout the day; all are free to attend with your admission ticket. *SEA LIFE Aquarium is fully accessible to visitors with disabilities, and service dogs are permitted. *Food and drink are not allowed inside the park, though the on-site Ocean Journey Café serves an array of family-friendly refreshments. *Strollers are prohibited, except on Tuesday–Wednesday, when LEGOLAND Park is closed.
How to get there
SEA LIFE Aquarium is one of several parks located at LEGOLAND California Resort. If traveling by car, take Interstate 5 north to Carlsbad; it’s roughly a 30-minute drive from downtown San Diego. The aquarium is also served by the 321 bus from Monday to Friday.
