Enjoy this full day out and live the pura vida, having fun on an ATV driving to Mal Pais, then ziplining through the canopy, and then walking to Montezuma and visiting the waterfall. You'll depart at 7:30am, and then get on the ATV and drive to the jungle. After this you'll get back on the ATV and visit several more towns, beaches, and then the waterfall.

Join us on a kayak tour where we watch the sun set behind the mountains with its' vibrant hues in the sky and on clouds. Then we enjoy the rising moon over the calm bay as night fall approaches. If we are lucky we'll also catch some glimpses of the magical bioluminescence. Upon arriving at Bahia Rica our friendly and knowledgeable guides Luis and Jose meet you. The preparation area is under palm trees where we'll will go through the basics of the tour and give safety instructions. Once on the water you will kayak into the sunset to a small beach on Isla Jesucita. Here our guides will serve up water, biscuits and fresh fruit to enjoy as the sun sets and the ever-changing colors in the sky do their thing. Back in the kayaks the attention now turns to the low hanging moon. On clear nights, it is incredibly peaceful to be out on the water with just the moonlight to guide you. However on cloudy nights, it may be possible to see and experience the bioluminescence.

We rent the kayaks for a day or multiple days for those that would like to great adventure with camping along the way - or sleep in cabins along the coast. We have 15 years of experience kayaking these waters, and have a huge selection of routes, places to explore and recommendations for where to camp or cabins close to the water. The Gulf of Nicoya is an amazing place to kayak. Mostly it is sheltered from the wind, has near-shore islands within an easy paddle, and a varied bird, fish and animal life. The tidal difference is big here which makes for some nice challenges planning the routes. There is no better way to get close to nature!
