Namsangol Hanok Village
The Basics
A stroll through Namsangol Hanok Village is an excellent way to get a feel for what it was like to live in Joseon-era Korea, both for peasants and aristocrats. Some city sightseeing tours of the South Korean capital include a visit to the village, as well as other essential attractions such as Gwanghwamun Gate, Gyeongbok Palace, Namsan Tower, and the Myeongdong shopping district. If you’re flying through Incheon International Airport with a long layover, you can visit the village as part of a guided layover tour. It also features as a stop on the Seoul hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus.
