Spectacular by night, when brightly colored lights illuminate the double helix structure to futuristic effect, the Helix Bridge is also striking by day. At 920 feet (280 meters) long, it’s easy to stroll across, and a range of Marina Bay area walking tours visit here. But you can also experience it by bicycle or e-scooter, admire it from land on a supercar, take a “duck” tour to glide by in an amphibious vehicle, or follow in the footsteps of the Crazy Rich Asians cast on a movie-themed tour.
The Helix Bridge connects the Bayfront area—home to the Marina Bay Sands hotel and entertainment complex—with the Esplanade area, where Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is located. The Bayfront end is about a 0.5-mile (800-meter) walk south of Promenade MRT station (Downtown line); the Marina Bay end is about a 0.5-mile (800-meter) walk north of Bayfront MRT (Downtown and Circle lines).
The Helix Bridge is open day and night but looks best after dark. It’s rarely crowded, even during rush hour.
