The Basics

Singapore was a key player in the Pacific Theater of World War II, and the Kranji War Memorial is one of the best spots in the city to learn more about this chapter in history. To get the most out of your visit, join a World War II-themed tour of Singapore, which typically combine the memorial with the exhibition on the Japanese occupation at the Changi Chapel Museum; the Johore Battery; and the Selarang Barracks.

Ace Ong - Great tour guide with passion!
Ace Ong has provided a very comprehensive private tour of the World War II Introduction on Singapore during the 4 to 5 hours day tour. It was unfortunate that we could not cover the whole tour (last bit of it) due to a heavy downpour. However, I appreciate all the details and information shared by Ace Ong with regards to my questions on the world war II in Singapore even after the tour had ended. He is indeed a very knowledgeable guide and I will highly recommend him to anyone who is keen in learning more about the history of Singapore.

How to Get There

The memorial sits on a hillside about 14 miles (22 km) outside of the city center. To get there by public transport, take the MRT to the Kranji Station—a 10-minute walk from the memorial. Don’t assume taxis know where it is.
