"I highly recommend this trip to history/archaeology buffs and those looking to get a taste of the north. The picures on Wikipedia and elsewhere on the web do not do Caral justice -- it feels entirely different standing in front of the pyramids and walking around the site. As someone who has been to Teotihuacan, learning about the religious functions of the site, as well as the different phases of its development, gave so much color to what had previously appeared to just be colorless ruins. My understanding of the region has grown a lot. The infrastructure around the site is also becoming well-developed, with tons of pictorials and illustrations explaining life in the region thousands of years ago. Bandurria is also a fantastic archaeological site to visit, as it is adjacent to a sort of inlet swampy area between the plain and the sea. This site is also rife with history, and both sites leave you begging for more (and indeed, both are awaiting further excavations). Lastly, the lunch stop on the way in Huacho, as suggested by the tour, was just incredible. It topped the other restaurants I ate at in Lima the week before. The sheer quality of the food was seriously a huge surprise and a highlight of the trip. I would definitely recommend getting it in between seeing the archaeological sites -- walking around Caral builds an appetite and walking around Bandurria helps beat the food coma!"

"The driver and guide arrived on time and a clean air condition car and we had a private personalized tour through the reserve. We even had time to stop and have lunch at the fishing Village. We saw some young flamingos and took tons of pictures wherever we wanted. I wish we could have squeezed in a quick visit to the candelabras Nazca line that would have made the trip even more perfect."

"We were running a little late and the tour operator (sorry forgot his name) took us by private car so we could join our group at the bottom of the dunes. From there our buggy operator was really exciting driving through the dunes. He even convinced me to sand boarding and am glad I did."

"We did this activity as part of the day trip from Lima, the drive is really long, like 4 hours. The activity itself is really fun. Dune Buggy and sand ski are so fun that the 1 hour time easily passing by. Also the view of the sand dune and the pond is stunning. There are many local people selling the buggy tour in that area, You can just walk in and get this activity schedule without advance booking."
