The Basics

This beach has become one of the most developed on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula. Some visitors say the beach town has lost its authentic charm, while others enjoy the modern restaurants, nightlife, and creature comforts. Regardless, the mile-long, crescent-shaped beach offers plenty of space to sunbathe; the shallow, calm waters make for good swimming conditions; and sailing, kayaking, fishing, and surfing are all popular activities. All-terrain vehicle tours and sailing cruises are also available.

Great adventure
This was a nice tour. We saw a lot of wildlife & learned a lot from the guide about it. We also got out of the boat for a short easy hike to see the howler monkeys.

3 Hour ATV Secluded Beach Tour from Tamarindo, Flamingo, Conchal & Grande
This was a wonderful experience! I would recommend this anyone including people who over 50. The communication was wonderful and they picked us up in Playa Flamingo..The ATVs we very easy to drive and the scenery was beautiful. We did not get a chance to snorkel because the water was to rough (no one controls the weather)at the time but that was the case for all the excursions we did the week we were there.. you can still swim and enjoy the secluded beaches. We did see howler monkeys .. and so many things along the way. Things to note: 1)Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty over your bathing suit 2) bring a bandana or covid mask or something to put over your mouth because of dirt roads and dust 3)bring a small towel and sunscreen.. bugspray 4)closed toe shoes

Buena vista Vandara Hot spring Combo Tour from Tamarindo Beach
This tour was amazing. The staff was great. I don’t remember everyones name but alexander and the others were awesome. Explained everything to us and ease the fear of horse back riding and zip lining. They gave us the option to try one line and if we weren’t comfortable we didn’t have to complete it. Our tour guide Carlos was awesome. If i ever visit again I would definitely do this tour again.

Sunday Funday Party Bus - Beach and Pool Hopping Crawl from Tamarindo
We had a BLAST! My college student daughter said “best day of her life”. lol. Julia & Maria were our tour guides and they were AMAZING! 100% committed to a fun time up until the last minute! The first stop (infinity pool in the mountains) was the highlight of our trip! GREAT music on the bus! They did a great job of getting everyone together & even up and dancing (to an awesome DJ) at the last stop! It’s a party….not for the tired or non-drinker…definitely a blast!

Canopy Tour In Tamarindo Beach
We went in March, which is the dry season, so landscape was pretty brown. However the guides and Ziplining were excellent and we saw monkeys.
