"We had an amazing time with this tour operator - and a special shoutout to Jose who was an incredibly patient and attentive instructor (and prepped our gear and drove us to and from the dive spot). You meet at the tour operator's dive shop in Tamarindo and then head on over to a nearby beach to dive near the Catalina Islands. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to explore SCUBA diving and its scared to take a certification course. The tour is intentionally kept small so that is safe. "When I first booked the dive I considered canceling since the dive center was very far from my hotel, but the online reviews convinced me otherwise. Turned out it was the best dive ever and totally worth the trip down to Tamarindo, even though this meant my day starting at 4am. The whole team was super friendly, very professional and put a huge amount of effort in to make everyone feel safe and satisfied. Remo and Franko always informed us about the next steps/dive and made sure everyone felt comfy. Franko always pointed out the easy-to-miss hidden fishes and other species. We’ve seen many sharks, rays, colorful fishes, eel’s and much more. Big shoutout to Franko who even went for an extra dive to find my mask after I’ve accidentally dropped it getting back on the boat after our 1st dive and only realized way too late- and of course he found it!
