Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa

Minato City, Takanawa, 4 Chome−10−30, Tokyo, 108-8611

The Basics

The park is divided into several areas with different types on marine life in each. There’s the Jellyfish Ramble in which you see the creatures in ever-changing luminescent tubes and tanks, and there's the Wonder Tube, which offers an experience akin to Scuba diving—you see sharks, rays, sawfish, and more. Another favorite to see: Wild Street with otters, seals, and penguins.

You can avoid the stress of waiting in long ticket lines by booking your general admission ticket in advance. You can then explore the aquarium independently at your own pace.

When to Get There

The park is open daily from morning through late evening, with the last entrance generally at 9pm. The park gets especially crowded—and the lines long—on weekends and especially school holidays.
