The Grange
A restored historic building in the heart of Toronto, the Grange is one of the oldest buildings in the city, and today is part of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). Visitors can enjoy views of the red brick facade while strolling in Grange Park, or head inside to peek at the interior, which is home to the Norma Ridley lounge.

Situated in the lush, 4.9-acre (2-hectare) Grange Park, is part of the National Historic Sites Alliance for Ontario, and one of the oldest buildings in the city. Travelers typically pair a stop at this early 19th building with a visit to the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). The inside of the Grange, which houses the Norma Ridley Members Lounge, is only open to AGO members, but fortunately, an annual membership only costs slightly more than a single-day admission.

History enthusiasts shouldn't miss the Grange, and architecture fans will appreciate the building's exterior detailing, dating from 1817.

How to Get There
The most convenient way to reach the centrally-located Grange is on public transit. If you're taking the metro, hop on the Yonge-University-Spadina metro line, and get out at the St. Patrick stop. You can also take the 505 Dundas streetcar to McCaul Street, or the 510 Spadina streetcar to Dundas Street. The Grange is just a short walk from either of these transit stops.
