Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Tours and Tickets
Free admission
The largest Roman Catholic church in North America, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception attracts visitors for both its religious and architectural value. Built between 1920 and 1959 as a tribute to the Virgin Mary, the church’s towering central dome and many chapels were crafted in a unique Romanesque-Byzantine style not found elsewhere in the US.
