The Basics

With at least a dozen museums spread along 11 blocks (plus all the other monuments and memorials), there’s a lot to see and do at the National Mall. As a hub of so many attractions, the National Mall features on just about every guided tour of the city.

Walking tours of the National Mall hone in on the history of America’s “front yard,” while evening tours on foot, by coach, or Segway allow visitors to see the monuments and museums illuminated after dark. Some tours combine the National Mall with a trip to Arlington National Cemetery.

4-Hour Small Group Guided National Mall Tour with 10 Top Attractions
Steve and Edrick did a wonderful job showing us D. C. Steve was very knowledgeable about the town and was able to pivot when the Secret Service taped off Lafayette Park and he and Edrick pivoted to the next stop. The traffic is the city was awful but the bus was comfy and we were able to get restaurant recommendations and side stories about the different areas we were passing by. Taking us to Iwo Jima monument was very moving along with seeing the Lincoln Memorial!

Judy was a fantastic guide - full of the typical knowledge you’d expect from a tour, but also fun and helpful tips for experiencing the best of this city! I loved being in the smaller group and getting to see more things with more in-depth information than I would’ve gotten on a bigger tour. I was on this tour solo and felt safe and a part of the group. I would definitely recommend!

An interesting tour and a good way to see Washington. Possibly could be slightly shorter. Although some walking is required, you get driven to each monument.
