Great wineries with lots of different varieties, fabulous chocolate shop, awesome lunch. Maggie Beer farm included when originally booked but found out on day of tour that because we were visiting wineries we were unable to attend Maggie Beer Farm which was extremely disappointing, would have been nice to know this prior to tour date.

Totally recommend this, even doing this on my own I didn't feel uncomfortable. Our host Deep was lovely, very polite and helpful. Just one thing and it was a general consensus people in the back of the van couldn't hear his narrative.

Pleasant Barossa Discovery

Had a very pleasant day discovering the Barossa with two other couples whom we met for the first time. The itinerary was well spaced and curated. There were four tastings at smaller boutique wineries, lunch at a winery cafe and stops at a chocolate factory and Maggie Beer’s Farm. Was a bit disappointed with the produce on offer at Maggie Beer’s but if we had more time, would have liked to do the walk around the property which is stunning. Malik was a very good driver but was soft spoken and had a bit of difficulty hearing his commentary.

This is not a criticism of the driver/guide. She tried her best. However, we expected the transport to be bigger and amore comfortable. We ended up at the back seat of 7 seaters van on both directions and missed out on the view along the drive. Choice of cellars could be improved.

The range of vineyards that were visited and wines tasted was the most memorable part of the trip. Meeting 2 lovely people from QLD made it more enjoyable. However some young people on the tour should have been on a private tour as didn’t follow instructions by the driver.

We had a wonderful day out with great people, they made the day even more fun. Our driver Roy was fabulous, he added to the fun and did very well for only his third tour. We had very generous tastings at the wineries we went to, and the staff were lovely. The lunch at Kies was delicious and their wine was the stand out for the day, the Merlot and premium Cab Sav was the best I have ever tasted, they offered $10 delivery home and I definately took advantage of this. My only suggestion is that there should have been some crackers and cheese on offer during the tastings maybe, we all got quite tipsy having so much wine before lunch :) That was not a negative though because it was truly a fun day.
