A lovely day in the hills

A memorable day spent with like minded people, including lots of wine tastings, lovely countryside, nice food, laughter and music. The very helpful guide kept us informed and on track.

A fun day visiting wineries, Hahndorf and Maggie Beer's farm, recommended for all ages. Bus a bit small to be comfortable on a full tour.

As it was the drivers first day and trip - he has done it very well. The wine taste was good and the lunch was at Kies o.k.. For the wine taste I prefer to have some crackers in between to get a better taste. The view from the hills snd the country was fantastic so it was a beautiful day ehich we only can recommend.
Other tours are worth much more

Unfortunately the description in the sale is weak. Very much a tale of we may do this, we may do that. Guarantees are desired. Also unfortunately, despite a businessman trying to progress, the driver/guide should be prohibited from driving, he was distracted by some video on his phone and was constantly talking with his headset. 3 years experience driving in Australia is not enough to be driving a bus with such confidence that you can do it without distraction. This was evident as the ride was not smooth, the driver reacted too late all the time and had to swerve and was not controlling the vehicle when taken by the wind. It's also very illegal. Not really impressed by the tour and not worth the money compared to other tours available.

Had a great day visiting Hahndorf in the morning, followed by 3 wineries with lots of wine tasting, a lovely lunch at Kies (can recommend the platter - the chicken salad looked amazing too) before finishing off with Maggie Beers farm in the afternoon. Our favourite of the wine tastings was Kersbrook Hill which happened to the the first we visited. Our guide for the day was Sam, who communicated time expectations well, in order to keep us on track and was an attentive, safe driver. This is a small bus tour, so be aware that if fully booked and you are last on the pick up list, you will likely be getting up close and personal with whoever you share the back seat with - and it is very snug back there. In saying that we ended up taking turns to sit up the front with Sam to provide a more spacious back seat experience and this made all the difference. We had a great day.

This is a lovely tour. We went to three different types of winery with quality products, Cimicky, Kies and Chateau Dorrien. The lunch was excellent. Our driver Sam was very professional and informative. Maggie Beer's Farm was a bit disappointing but it was good to check it out. Thoroughly recommend it.

Too long at the cafe in Hahndorf, which set us back timewise. Didn't get enough time at Maggie Beers. If the driver does this run regularly he should know his time limits. First two wineries was fantastic, the one with the Irish guy, he was too busy trying to be funny than actually giving information on the wines.
