    This is nothing against cruise Whitsundays as they were as helpful as they could be. We missed our half day tour due to Viator having the wrong departure location on their website! We showed a person at cruise Whitsundays and they agreed it was the wrong location. We also spoke to a customer service agent from Viator and she agreed the coordinates are wrong too. Would imagine trip was great if we could go on it. But definitely would not recommend booking through Viator unless you want to miss your trip you paid $$$ for.

    We were recommended by so many friends that you had to go to Whitehaven if you’re in Airlie. The half day trip was perfect. We left at 11:30am and got to our location at around 2. The beach was beyond anything I could ever explain. It was so beautiful. I do wish there was only a small group to be allowed on the beach at once to give it more of the hidden beach vibes. But it really was beautiful. Chrystal clear blue waters and white white sand. You could see the little schools of fish swimming around.

    Well we weren’t informed that there wouldn’t be any food after we left port of Airlie so starved for 6 hours. They only had alcohol for sale which is ridiculous. There wasn’t any food? The trip isn’t very baby or disabled friendly. I was with both. When we got back on to head back they had snacks on board but unfortunately the salami was super spicy and couldn’t even eat it

    We received the wrong pick up and meeting point information. We almost miss the cruise. The wrong information also cause me lost the second booking of the scenic flight. The company rejected to refund us. I am trying to find the the legal way to get back my money.

    The place was amazing, we did a half day trip but were disappointed with the lack of food and water. A little warning to bring food and drinks would have been good.

    Beautiful scenery, great hike, lovely sandy beach with turquoise water but you only have 2,5 hrs on the island and you cannot swim without a full body suit

    I would call it ferry services. We spent 1 hour and 30 minutes on the beach only. That’s not enough to enjoy Whitehaven. Waste of time and money. We didn’t enjoy that day at all. No more world to say.

    Would not book through Viator again, we’re awful to deal with, we are on our honeymoon and called to ask a few questions and possibly change about our booking and they were not helpful, book direct with Whitsundays instead, cheaper deals. Also am Aus and was charged US dollars? Whitehaven trip itself was great, not Viator.

    Whitehaven Beach Half Day Tour

    Departure was advised for 11.00am but left at 11.35am travelling both to and from DayDream Island and Hamilton Island which was not part of the published brochure. My understanding was that the trip to Whitehaven was for half a day visit, leaving at 11.00am and departing around 4.00pm. Instead the boat arrived at Whitehaven around 2.00pm and departed around 3.45pm for Hamilton Island to drop off daytrippers and then stopped at Daydream Island for another pickup and drop off. Arrived back at Port of Airlie around 6.15pm. Brochure needs updating or stick with your published schedule or at least advise that this is an inter island ferry serice stopping and returning to DayDream Island and Hamilton Island with around a 2 hr stopover at Whitehaven Beach. Quite dissapointed overall. Not what I had expected after reading the promotional material about the half day trip to Whitehaven Beach.

    Viator advertised approx $83 per person. I paid $250 for 2 people. Angry before we started. It is only 2 hrs on the beach but you don't go to the entrance where all the beautiful postcard shots are taken.

    Overall a great day. Only downside was being told the departure time was 645 when it was 715 and that the website said the cafe and terminal opened at 615 when it was 645. A little hard with small children.
