  • The ticket for your City Canal Cruise board is a TIMESLOT ticket. You chose one of below mentioned docks to depart from:
  • The first dock is located at Stadhouderskade 501 opposite the Hard Rock Cafe. Take tram 1, 2, 5,11 and 12 stop at Leidseplein. from there the dock is a 2 minute walk.
  • The second dock is located at Stadhouderskade 550, opposite Heineken Experience. Take tram 2, 5,and 12 stop at Rijksmuseum. from there the dock is a 5 minute walk or take metro No. 52 and stop at Vijzelgracht. From there the dock is only a 2 minute walk.
  • Most travellers can participate

Start with the canal tour to get a good feel for the city overall.
I was told that I would have to wait an hour because the boat with full with a German tour group.
The tour location was difficult to find, even knowing it was across the street from Heineken.

Nice tour. But they mention 2 different departure points. When I went to the first one, she told me that was not correct and I had walk 15 minutes to the other one. Fortunately, I was early so I could make it. To make matters worse, at the second departure point, he told me that both were the same and maybe I was sent on a walk in the cold because the boat at the first place may have been full. Not sure what is the truth - but very bad management. Note that I had a Pre-paid ticket for a particular time.

Very therapeutic and worthwhile way to explore the canals of Amsterdam. There are around 20 different language options for audio and you can also bring food on board. Best to go during the day to capitalize on the sunshine.

My wife and I took the cruise to explore the canals, our guide/driver was very informative and keep the entire ride upbeat. We learned things about the canals and Amsterdam that we were surprised to hear, good stuff!! It was an easy way to explore Amsterdam and see different beautiful sites. Earphones were given for the tour guide to explain what historic buildings and sites we came across. Only thing I would wish is if someone pointed out which buildings the automated person was referring to. Sometimes it wasn’t easy to follow. Overall it great experience and pleasant ride.

Lovely tour takes yoy around the heart of the city there's not much that isn't covered. Tour guide friendly and easy to find as it starts straight across from the heineken experience.

if you are interested to do the boat trip, buying the ticket online would save you €5 per person, and the tickets are confirmed instantly. there are more than 15 languages to be choosen from, and the explanation is interesting with the additional comments from the boat captain.

Very easy, worth every penny; Booked online for the 11:30am the night before; walked over to the departure site by Hard Rock Cafe the next morning; we got there an hour early and were able to get on the earlier boat; in summer the earlier the better because of the sun and heat; good overview of the city; good service, clean, easy
