Time flew quickly as Captain Storm guided us through the canals on his boat. The smaller size of the boat made for a pleasant trip. The drinks and food were a welcome pluss, especially the bitterballen that were purchased on route. Captain Storm made a wonderful tour guide, relaxed but full of information about Amsterdam, as he guided us along the canals, providing geographical and historical tidbits along the way. Highly recommended. I would much prefer this over the larger and more commercial cruises.

The tour was not oversold, plenty of room on the boat, drinks and snacks. Captain Storm was nice and informative. The only negative, we were supposed to be on the 7pm tour. The day before, we were told that we have to be rebook for the 4pm tour, or cancel our reservation. We had to rush with our visit to a museum to make the 4pm boat tour.

Our captain was entertaining and talkative. There were chips, cheese, bitterballens (yummy)and waffles. In addition there was hot chocolate, mulled wine, wine, beer, gin, and soft drinks. Also the seating was was on a beautiful but cold evening.

Our canal cruise was so much better than we ever could have expected—we learned so much about the history of Amsterdam, as our guide provided us with an incredible wealth of information about the architecture and culture of the city. With all of that plus plenty of bitterballen and beer and hot cocoa, what could be better? It was also wonderful to see the city on a smaller, cozier boat so that we could venture on some of the tighter canals in Amsterdam. The boat is also heated, so if you’re looking for a tour for all seasons, this is it.

What a fun adventure! Captain Eric was especially interesting since his mother was a friend and classmate of Anne Frank. The history tour of Amsterdam was just enough. The snacks were yummy! We had cheese and grapes with cheese straws and mini waffles. We stopped half way to find a delivery of hot appetizers. Beverages included wine beer a variety of soft drinks and hot chocolate. They even served warm wine, which everyone enjoyed! Shots of grain alcohol were also offered. Blankets were even provided since it was rather cold. (February) overall, I think this was a great value for the money.

Amazing evening cruise from start to finish. Great variety of food and drinks on board. Captain Storm was an excellent host and tour guide without making it feel like boring history lesson of Amsterdam. We had good craic and will definitely book again and hopefully it will be a daytime one.
