You are guaranteed to see a mixture of flowers in bloom from March to May, but April travel dates are recommended for the greatest chance to see the gardens at their very best, including the tulips

        Do Keukenhof in the afternoon, not in the morning, it's self guided and is perfect for for slowing down after a morning filled with walking and tours.
        The tour all in all is a good idea to have these 3 places combined as those who have few time can see them together.

        The gardens were breathtaking. Rest of tour was terrible. Rushed to windmills and had trouble finding way back to bus. Not enough time to get snack or use restrooms. Never told had to have money for restroom.

        It was a wonderful tour made special by our tour guides Caroline and Frank (Harry potter). The team made sure we learnt about new places, gave us adequate time to explore each location and more! we had a fantastic experience at Keukenhoff gardens (mesmerising), the beautiful/ zaanse schaans windmills, the charming fishing village of Volendam and the unique shoe factory and the chees factory! It was a time spent well- locations were far off but the tour helped us cover them all within a day. Recommended if you dont want to travel on your own and sit in the comfort of a bus and visit many places in a day.
        Great destinations...but the 2 halves of this excursion were not connected...lost 1 1/2 hrs of day

        The Windmills in the AM were great. The gardens were awesome in the late afternoon. However, the tour planning was not organized. Problem: You don't stay with the same tour guide and bus for both halves of the day. You return back to a parking lot in the early afternoon and have to wait over an hour for the 2nd bus to continue your journey. Once that bus arrived.....we waited another 45 minutes before we continued to the gardens--which we didnt get to until after 4:30pm when our tour started at 8:30am! In addition, we were supposed to receive a one hour tour at the gardens as per my original booking confirmation. We did not get that...it was totally self guided. Don't get me wrong...the windmills were interesting. The gardens were breath taking. It was the the tour operators organization and routine that put a damper on the day with the disconnect between the 2 experiences.

        It was an amazing day. The free time to guide tour time was a great balance. Each part of the tour was a perfect amount of time. Silvia was a great tour guide and took the time to talk with whoever asked her questions. The tulips was amazing and a must see. The tour guide wasn’t all that attentive and left for the gate before everyone got off the bus.

        I have booked with Viator for over 10 years and always been happy. This was the ABSOLUTE worst. First there was a long wait between the connection fro the Windmills to Keukenhof. Second, they did NOT have operating WC’s or did not want to open them Finally, we had signed and received confirmation from Viator that a one hour Guided tour was included as well as skip the line. Andrea, the guide said that Viator was misrepresenting what was offered and we were out of luck. We just wanted what we were promised. That being said the Gardens were magnificent!!

        Guides were very good Tip for future visitors wear a hat and scarf. Can be cold. Directions to meeting point were very bad at start These need to be updated

        Everything was great, the weather was overcast, but all sights were worth the time. The tulips and other flowers were amazing.

        I cannot give this a 5 star because it is the most disfunctional tour ive ever been on.. Its a distaster in the beginning to meet in the train station then walk a quater mile to the buses.. We booked the windmills first then the flowers so we can have less people in our pics in the flowers well they did it backwards and acted like its fine u get to go to both places. Ya we get that but thats not the way we wanted to do it.. THen u get back from one tour , dont stick with the same driver and stand outside waiting for another bus for over 30min.. Besides that the gardens are great, the windmills i wish we spent a little more time at, and we could probably do away with the boatride at the end.

        Keukenhof was wonderful! I would have enjoyed more time in the windmill village. Our guides, Robert and Miriam and our driver Frank were so friendly and kind.

        Good trip. We got lunch time around 4 pm which made us hungry and tired. Lunch time should be around 12 pm to 1 pm.

        Wonderful trip with Ian and Frank. Very accommodating and helpful! My mom had a cane and Ian made sure she always had a seat at the experiences and make sure we had an accommodating seat on the bus.

        Pieter was an excellent guide who kept our large group moving, looking out for our safety and fun seeing the flowers, windmills, cheese, stroopwafels and wooden shoes! The boat ride was a great change of pace, and we found the whole experience informative and enjoyable. It was a long day, but an excellent way to see some of the country outside of Amsterdam. Our driver Eric provided a smooth ride, too!
