Amazing scenery and great ride

This was a great trip- I was skeptic all that we’d actually make it into countryside (not knowing Amsterdam very well) but it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere cycling through fields and irrigation canals, through villages and hardly seeing anyone. Loved it

We cycled through villages and farms and learned a great deal about Dutch history and current issues from our excellent guide Pearse. The bikes were great, the route was well planned. Great way to spend 1/2 a day in Amsterdam and escape the hustle of the city

My family did the countryside tour with Pearce while visiting Amsterdam. Arrival and checkin at the shop was easy. Pearce is very knowledgeable about the Netherlands, environmental efforts, farming, and a great guide. We rode about 18 miles, stopping at a farm for pie and coffee, a windmill, a tower that gave a great vantage point of the entire region. The pace was leisurely and the ride was flat. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you’ve got a few days in Amsterdam.

Fun Family Experience

Our whole family enjoyed the bike tour. Willem was great fun and the biking was at a leisurely pace with several stops for information and pictures. We enjoyed the peaceful quiet of the countryside and were happy to be biking instead of walking for the day. Definitely a must do experience while in Amsterdam.

The guild had no sign, colored outfit or anything for signaling as a tour guide for members to follow. In a city full of bicycles, it’s impossibly to tag along. At the ferry crossing, the guide left without checking and left me behind. She didn’t respond to phone calls or text messages. No ways to communicate with her for catching up the group. Had to call the bike shop for next steps. Fortunately, thij from the shop was very kind. He rode to the ferry (after I ferried over and back)to meet me. After tried number of ways and times to contact the guide and failed, he refunded me and let me use the bike. With his directions, I made a solo trip to the windmill village and back. Was a pleasure hour ride. the trails are very easy. I enjoyed trip. I’m giving thij a 5star. But the tour guide should even not receive any. The worst ever!😵🥴😤😡

It was Educational cycling North Amsterdam & the small villages in the countryside. See cows & sheep in the fields & Blue herons near canals. Historic churches & windmill. Excellent bicycles provided on the tour. A timely Food & drink stop at Holysloot.

Great way to see the Amsterdam Countryside! Tour guide was knowledgeable and offered additional recommendations of things to do/see while in Amsterdam. As someone who does not cycle long distances often, I was a little concerned about an 18 mile/30 kilometer bike ride, but it was very easy and did not feel nearly that long.
