Cruising the canals of Amsterdam is a must for first-time visitors to the city. This family-friendly cruise provides a personalized experience with a small boat and a maximum of 20 passengers on-board. There are two different starting locations. (Rijksmuseum or Central Station) Please make sure you go to the right one!
Due a lot of traffic at the dock, I can't wait more than 5 minutes. Please make sure you are at the dock 10 minutes before departure.
A fairly big step needs to be taken to get in the boat. Ofcourse we will assist you.
When a lot of rain is predicted I will try to get a covered boat. This might impact the visibility, but keep us dry. On heavily rainy days, rescheduling or refunding is ofcourse possible.

I always try to give the best tour possible (5*). But in rare occasion things don't go as you and me would like. Please let me know asap. Aither direct or send me an email of text. I will contact you.
The tour is a historical canal cruise, it is not a booze cruise. So if you are looking for a bachelor party boat or any other booze cruise. Just contact me. And I can arrange that for you on a private boat.
Captain Jack is collaboration between friends. Captain Jack is not perse himself on the boat.
Depending on the route you will see an interesting selection of highlights of Amsterdam.
Not hen, stag or drinking party suitable! If you are looking for that. Look for something else!
Be aware, on the water it can be colder than in the street. Make sure you have a coat with you.
Most travellers can participate
There is no toilet on the boat.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Great selection of food and drink! Captain Jack (Sean) did a great job. Nice ride and crowd! Highly recommend.... right behind the riks museum.. so make a day of it... then go to Hansel and Gretel pub.

Oh this trip was so much fun! I had Captain Al and he was a hoot. He had a great sense of humour and took really good care of us during the tour. The wine was flowing and the laughs were plenty. This tour is fantastic and I highly, highly recommend doing this tour above the others. The group is smaller and you're in an authentic dutch style boat with character.

Loved our cruise with Capt Jack. Chose this cruise as it was more intimate than others. As well as being great fun Jack was very informative and there were plenty drinks and tasty nibbles. I would definitely recommend it. Also just a nice length at 90mins. We had the three seasons in one day with sunshine, rain and hail, so felt at home, as we live in Scotland! 😀

If you are looking for a boat trip with a difference, then captain Jacks excursion is the one! It’s intimate, only a few people on the boat, we had the wonderful captain Jackaline who was an amazing skipper, who gave us all an insight into the history of this beautiful place. And the nibbles and drinks, we’re just what we needed to relax and take in the memorable sights as we enjoyed the smooth journey around the city. Great tour! The guide gave us plenty of fun facts during the ride but could be hard to hear at times. Sit close to the front if you want to hear everything as there is no mic, but in the back there is plenty of comfy seats and more than enough food and drinks to share.

We loved this tour with our teenage daughter. It was the perfect way to see Amsterdam from the water while having snacks and cocktails. Captain Jacqueline was amazing and a fantastic source of knowledge. It was a little chilly, but the boat is inclosed for inclement weather. It would be even better in the sunshine! We would definitely recommend this tour to others!
