Had a great day out to Giethoorn on this trip - we had a brilliant guide called Aku who was very knowledgeable about the area and also very helpful and friendly. Aku organised the boat trip which was very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this trip - Geithoorn is a beautiful place to visit!

A great small tour through the country side to the small town of Giethoorn. Loved cruising the canals and seeing the houses. First time to ever see a peat lake. Don’t miss it.

One of the best tours we have ever been on. Giethoorn itself is quite pleasant. Wall to wall tourists, but we knew that going in. What made the tour special was our guide, Aku. Extremely knowledgeable about all things Giethoorn, Amsterdan, Holland, etc., but also worldly wise, with a fascinating background. Someone we would have been happy to sit and talk with for hours.

Highly recommend. I’ve gone twice with different guests and all were impressed with the tour and our guide. I’ve gone on five boat tours in the Netherlands with a friend of mine, and he remarked this was the best by far—handily beating the booze cruises we’ve been on. Aku is a great tour guide This is a complete experience—pick up and drop off from Centraal, commentary on the ride to Giethorn and knowledge about the charming town and its history, but also the best times to beat traffic for a superior boating tour. He picked us on time, drove safely and speedily, and was considerate and welcoming. His recommendations for where to spend our free time time exploring the town and the dining options were excellent. His hospitality is best in class—he not only pointed out some of the best sights, but took group photos of the whole boat that turned out great.

My tour guide Anzi Aku was a delight to travel with. Nothing was too difficult for him to help with. He was very knowledgeable not only about Geithoorn but the Netherlands in general and I was able to learn a lot about the history of the country from him. Akuma was a fantastic guide. I would highly recommend this tour. The boat tour around the village allowed us to see a lot. With mobility issues, he was great at assisting us into and out of the boat. We lucked out with a perfect day, it was absolutely gorgeous.

Best tour! Aku was an amazing guide. Safe driver, knowledgeable, and friendly. You could tell he loves his job and works hard to ensure the best trip possible for his guests. The ride is about 1.5 hours through beautiful countryside. We stopped at an AMAZING restaurant recommended by Aku for lunch, then did the hour boat ride. There was plenty of time to explore the village and shop. 10/10 would recommend and will do again next time I’m in the area.

My family had one last full day in Amsterdam and we wanted to do something special and memorable. So glad we booked this day tour. Aku was a really personal and helpful guide, super attentive and knowledgeable. He makes you feel like a welcome guest to the Netherlands. He planned our small group trip very well to Giethoorn and always checked that each member of the group was happy with our choices. He did his best to avoid the crowded bits so you can really enjoy the Giethoorn experience. Great van drive, great lunch spot, great boat ride, wonderful alone time, and a really nice treat to stop at the beach on the way back. Super nice guy, one of the best tours we've had.
