Pick up time is 9:00am. When you want to start the tour at a different time feel free to ask. We pick up from any hotel, Airbnb address or location in Amsterdam within a radius of 6 miles (10 kilometers) from the city center. For a pickup (and/or return) from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport or another location outside the 6 miles radius we charge €30,- cash payment on the day itself. That is because the airport is 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the city center so it’s costing us extra time and we pay over 2 euros per liter gasoline.

Wonderful way to experience Holland’s countryside! All 6 of us have a new appreciation for windmills!!! Our youngest loved the clog factory and dairy farm. I loved driving through the small towns!!

The trip included a trip to operating windmills, a flim about the rebuilding of one of the working windmills. Plus stops in several small towns. The guide had lots of information about the area and took us on small roads that allowed us to better appreciate the region

So enjoyed our day in the countryside with Teun. Every place we went on the route was beautiful and Teun was knowledgeable and so easy to get along with and enjoy. We are only in Amsterdam for a couple of days, so a great tour to get out of the city and see the fishing villages, windmills and enjoy seeing wooden shoes being made. Teun went above the call of duty and we felt very well taken care of.

Seeing the beautiful country side & the windmills. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and well versed on the history of the area & the working operation of the windmills.
