A quick look outside the city

We had limited time in the Netherlands, and first time there. The tour was available at short notice, and it was a good opportunity to see some of the countryside. The stops were at the usual tourist centres (exit through the gift shop), but not too bad. Bus was comfortable, not packed, and the guide was fine although it felt that he had run through the lines a million times. Overall, good to do !

A very good day trip! The windmills, town of Volendam and the boat ride were the highlights. The journey itself isn't too long, 40 mins from Amsterdam Cemtraal. The hosts were super amazing. Don't miss the fried fish, cheese and the desserts in Volendam.

The working windmills were fantastic and we were very lucky to have snow falling in Marken on our trip!! We are from Australia and at the present time it is very hot through Summer so the whole experience was magical!!

I had such an amazing time. I did the full inclusive trip and it was worth it. Our tour guides were so funny and interactive. I absolutely enjoyed this trip, my fav part of Holland!
Not enough time, venues too small for group

The windmills were out first stop - incredible. Only an hour was given: demo took 30 minutes, the walk to the demonstration was 15 minutes, leaving 15 minutes to walk back, use the facilities. Venues for all stops were too small - many people could not see despite the demonstrations being very interesting. Cheese tasting where 100 people were crammed into too little space with cheese put out with no toothpicks was a bit much.

Macarena and all guide were so nice! I really enjoyed in tour. The only thing about tour is Volendam is really beautiful but there wasn’t enough time to see. Maybe something can be change about tour and timing so can spend more time in there. Thank you!
Not worth the money!

There are two options for the visit: the basic one in which you can see Zaanse Schans and the cheese factory, and the full one in which the visit of a windmill, another visit about Dutch shoes and a transfer with a boat are included. We chose to buy the basic ticket since we weren't interested to the other things, except the windmill that we paid separately on site. Despite this, after buying the ticket, they insisted repeatedly that we added 15 euros to have the full experience. We found this very annoying. We even asked the bus driver if there was a bathroom in their bus or nearby, he told us (mocking us) that the closest one was on the boat and that we would have better bought the ticket. In conclusion, no wifi and toilet on their "luxurious" bus. Too much touristic tour not worth all that money and very unprofessional company whose main interest is just maximizing its profit.

5-6 hours in detail tour. Guide did a great job. De Lounge might have one of the best seafood. Comfortable bus. Strongly recommend for small groups or families.
