Celebrate All Saints Day in Guatemala with a trip from Antigua to Sumpango for the Giant Kite Festival. Each year on November 1st, the town of Sumpango is transformed by festivities, where people honor their dead with a display of giant paper kites—which can span up to 60-feet (18-meters) wide. You’ll visit the cemetery, where families repaint colorful tombs and bedeck them with flowers, before heading to the festival ground to join the celebrations.
