        You are better off riding the chicken bus

        Unfortunately, this seller is a third party and doesn't actually provide the service. On the day of the transfer from Antigua to El Paredon the road our Airbnb was on was under construction so the drive was not able to pick us up in front of our place. That is not a big deal. I called the person I purchased the transfer from and she called the tour operator who was suppose to call the driver. The driver was never contacted and we ended up waiting on a corner for about 30 minutes before we were picked up. The bus was old and did not have air conditioning. On the way to El Paredon the driver took a detour to pick up about 8 members of his family to take them to El Paredon. There weren't enough seats on the bus so a person sat on the console between the driver and the passenger seat. A detour was also made to pick up a cake for a hotel in El Paredon. Private transportation would have been a lot better!

        Hi Cesar, We are very sorry you had a rough ride to start your beach trip! When we provide shared shuttle service we do our best to be clear with our passengers that the vans make a number of pick-ups in Antigua and there may be a wait. We are sorry if this wasn't communicated clearly enough to you and if the driver said he did not get the message when we had inquired about his ETA. The shuttles in Guatemala tend to vary in terms of what interior amenities they provide, and a lack of AC would have certainly been frustrating while the shuttle was making those stops you mentioned. We will inquire with our provider and let them know our customer was dissatisfied, and we apologize for your experience.
