Best if you speak Spanish

Neither our driver nor our guide spoke English, so it was a little challenging to understand everything. Nevertheless, the ruins were amazing and we were able to get enough information to make this trip worthwhile.

Our Iximche guides for this tour are bilingual (English/Spanish) and sometimes even trilingual (a Mayan language) but I will ask what happened (if there was a last minute cancellation for our guide). This was a very good trip to a fascinating Mayan city. Pablo, our driver, was excellent. It is an hour or more out of Antigua into the mountains. Our guide, Melvin, was knowledgable and engaging.

Our tour guide and our driver were really great! You get a museum tour and also the ruins. We even saw some people praying there. I would 100% do this trip again! We did not go on a market day, but maybe next time.
