Depending on the size of your group, and the traffic conditions on the day of the tour, you will return either to the main office or to Place Catalunya, which is just an easy 3-5 minute walk away.

What To Expect

Depart from a central Barcelona, and relax during a scenic journey toward Baga in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. Marvel at the majestic perimeter of rocky peaks in the Cadi-Moixero National Park as you arrive in Baga. Tour the village and it's medieval church and square, before enjoying you some free time to explore alone.

Traverse the French border on route to your next stop, the charming ancient spa town of Ax-Les-Thermes. After your guide recommends some of the best natural fountains to visit and soak your feet in, indulge in some free time to enjoy the healing waters and browse the local artisan shops.

Next, meet back at the bus to head toward Andorra. Travel through the beautiful Pyrenees Alps and cross the Pas de la Casa, a high-mountain pass with multiple photo opportunities.

Descend into Andorra, stopping at a typical mountain valley where you get a glimpse of stone huts dotting the mountainside, a Roman church, and embark on a short hike to experience the landscape.

From here, continue on to Andorra de la Vella, Andorra's charming capital. Explore the city and indulge in some duty-free shopping before climbing aboard the minivan for the return trip to Barcelona.

Your tour concludes with drop-off back at the departure point.

Carlos is the ideal guide. He’s passionate, knowledgeable and very kind. The bus was great and the locations were beautiful and uniquely different from each other. It’s not everyday you get an opportunity to visit a medieval Spanish city, the French Pyrenees mountains, and a remote European city 7,000 feet above sea level. I’d definitely do it again. It was a lot of riding in the bus but I knew that before I booked the tour. The tour guide was very nice and very helpful and the scenery of the Pyrenees mountains was beautiful. Both the stops in Baga and Ax-Les Thermes were disappointing. Not much to see and a lot of the shops and stores were closed. The tour guide said that because the shops are open on the weekend they are closed on Mondays. Andorra was open an lively but it’s a very modern city without much charm. However I can say that I went there and got my passport stamped. Other people on the tour seemed to enjoy the tour so maybe it was just not my cup of tea.

Good explanation of the scenery. Too small a van for nine adults on such a long trip. Washroom stops were unclean with no toilet paper. Disappointing for the price.

The guide, Mark, was excellent with one exception: he needed a shower. He arrived at the beginning of the day wearing a dirty shirt and with immediately noticeable body odor. The mini-bus seats are quite cramped as it is a two-by-two configuration, rather than one-by-two. Our bus had some trouble with a/c as it climbed to the higher altitudes. The bus driver and the guide both spoke excellent English and exhibited genuine kindness to the tour members (21 on our tour). One of our tour members became lost in Andorra la Vella. The guide and driver spent 45 minutes helping his wife locate him. He would have been in a terrible predicament had they decided to leave as Andorra is three hours from Barcelona with very inconvenient means of public transportation. Some tour members were miffed that we arrived so late because of the lost man, but I believe it was the right thing to do.

A good way to see different places but too rushed

The only complaint I have about this tour is that there is not enough time in each place. I understand that it takes awhile to get from one place to the next which makes it a long day and a lot of time of the bus. The guide and the driver did a good job of giving us a break every 1.5 hours but when you finally get to the town you are really rushed. There is only time to do one thing, either get food or explore the city. We just felt really rushed and couldn't enjoy where we were.
