For our cruise ship passengers the tour departs from the Tourism Village in Belize City (the dock area where the cruise ship tender boats drop off their passengers). As you debark from your tender boat, please look for the Diamonds International store at Terminal 2. Walk through the store to the gate on Fort Street. At the gate, you’ll be met by a representative of ours. Our tours are scheduled to fit within the port time of the cruise ships arriving in Belize City. We monitor the cruise ship tender schedules and plan our tour itineraries to give you plenty of time to return back to your ship, to enjoy a local drink before departure. For tourist who are staying in Belize City, pick are available depending on the location.

Oh, how I wish we had read the reviews before booking this excursion. We were met promptly by a representative of Splash Wave Tours and got into a van which dropped us off at their office on a pier. A new representative checked us in. After about 30 minutes, the representative who checked us in let us know that we were the only two who had signed up for the Altun Ha tour. She said that they do not generally do the tour for less than four people, but she would contact her boss to see if they may privatize the tour for us. After another hour, during which we chatted with a third representative who said he was the snorkeling tour guide, she let us know the boss was willing to offer us a private tour for an additional $20 each. The amount seemed reasonable for a private tour with a guide, so we said yes. She said we needed to wait as they were sending a van for us. We resumed chatting with the snorkeling guide who told us he would be our guide for the Altun Ha tour. After asking him a few questions, it was obvious he knew very little about the ruins. We waited another 30 minutes with no sign of the van and finally gave up and left. We are currently waiting for a refund of our payment. We strongly DO NOT recommend this tour company.
Mayan Ruins

The Mayan ruins were quite interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The guide was over an hour late in picking us up with at least 3 phone calls yo find out where he was.
I waited 1-1/2 hours for the tour to start and then walked away because they were still waiting for 4 people!!

There were none. The tour had not started 2-1/2 hours after it was supposed to. They were waiting for four people from another tour ship which had been off-loading passengers for two hours. I finally left! I have been on other Viator arranged tours and they were fine - this one was horrible.
