For guest on San Pedro Ambergris Caye or Caye Caulker, come over to the mainland on the water taxi to participate on this tour. For Cruisers arriving at FSTV, we tour on SHIP TIME, The tour starts 1.5 hours after the ship arrives in port. get an early tender ticket and come ashore early to check-in and not miss the tour. The ship tenders bring passengers to the port terminals, we are located at the EXIT of Terminal 1, street side, you will see the staff with the V.i.V. signs.

Jon was teh best tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and the best man; the cave tour was very interesting, with Jon sharing many interesting facts given his extensive experience. Abner was a great tour guide, showing us a few local spots, including local food. All were great guides on an excellent experience that I would recommend to anyone.

I embarked on an exciting adventure of Cave Tubing and was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic experience, even though I didn't know the names of our driver and guide. Here's the story of our unforgettable journey: As we arrived at the Cave Tubing location, I was filled with anticipation, eager to explore the mysterious underground world. Our driver, whose name I regretfully didn't catch, was not only punctual but also incredibly friendly and accommodating. He made sure our group was comfortable and in high spirits as we prepared for our adventure. Our guide, whose name remains unknown to me, was a true expert in cave exploration. He began by explaining the history and significance of the cave system we were about to enter. His passion for the caves and their geological formations was evident, and it immediately piqued our interest. As we ventured into the cave on our inflatable tubes, our guide led the way with a sense of confidence and professionalism that put us all at ease. He skillfully navigated us through the winding waterways, pointing out unique rock formations and hidden chambers along the route. Best Cave Touring Adventure

My husband and I booked this excursion on our honeymoon trip. It was amazing! VIV tours was awesome! Our tour guides were Abnar, Abnar, Jr. & Tracey. They were so nice & friendly. They waited for all cruise ships guests that were scheduled for the tour to arrive. They had our tubes waiting for us at the top. Abnar, Jr. Was so knowledgeable about the history of Belize. We would definitely recommend this tour when you are in Belize City!!

At points the light came through the spectacular view of the rain forest. You walked to the river. The tubs were waiting for us there. You end up at the beginning. Refreshing dips in the river. To be honest it wasn’t the best experience. The person at the port was not wearing the correct color shirt indicated on our tickets. The van that we went in did not have working air conditioning and it was a boiler inside. The driver was driving erratically and the van blew a tire half way to the excursion where I was convinced we were gonna crash! and we sat on the side of the road for 45-50 min in the heat. Once we arrived at the destination I asked repeatedly if we would be late returning to the ship upon which they kept saying no we’ll be fine. They didn’t rush any of the other passengers because they were on a different ship than we were… we literally made it 5 min after our return to dock time and on the very last tender to our ship!! No time to shop at port as we were running to the carnival tender line. Every time I asked how much longer they just kept saying we’re fine, we’re fine… and completely flippant about my panic. The cave tour itself was interesting but the overall experience was not a good one for me and my daughters. With that said, the guides were nice up until the point I kept asking about time.

thanks for your review, yes be honest, you did miss the Vista cave tour timing, all passengers had arrived and started the tour and hour earlier that were from the vista, when you checked in late, we only had the Granduer ship cave tour going, that ship has a different timing, yet we decided to have you do the tour since we knew that there was still enough time to do the tour. we like to start the tours on time so as to have time to take care of any unexpected occurrences which today did happen, the AC stop working, and a part of the vehicle fender touched the tire, the tire did not blow, the wheels are new and filled with nitrogen and did not deflate, the driver took precautions and stopped the vehicle and requested another one. within half hour the vehicle was replaced with air conditioning and the tour continued. yes you returned on time, you made it back to the ship, those who checked in earlier from the same ship on the earlier tour returned and hour earlier and did do shopping at the port, so to avoid being in the this similar situation, i am asking the reader to reserve early, check in early and do the early tour, don't wait for last minute since you will lose shopping time. the rest of the people in the van were from the other ship they were early and had an extra hour shopping time in port. thanks for choosing us. we made the trip possible.

We had a great time on this excursion. We had always wanted to do a cave tour and this one did not disappoint. The Abners (Senior and Junior) were both knowledgeable and personable and I felt very comfortable on the bus ride to the park. Our guide thru the cave, Natie (rhymes with Katie so I hope I spelled it correctly), was knowledgeable, personable and worked REALLY hard to keep a group with four guys much bigger than her floating smoothly through the cave. The hike felt a bit longer than 35 - 40 minutes and the ground was very rocky, as in loose rocks in places. It was challenging for me with foot issues but I am still glad I powered through. I really enjoyed what I think was a pretty local working man's lunch that we ate on the bus ride back to enable us to have as much time in the caves as possible. Red beans, rice and stewed chicken was SO good.

Had a great time! Had a long drive there and back (abt an hour) but enjoyed it, lots of interesting info given by the guide and stopped at a local place for drinks since it was hot. Had a nice local meal after for $10 (rice and beans with chicken). Plenty of time to get there and back if you arrive at 9 (have to take the early transport from the ship to get there by then). I think we were back by 2:30ish. Surprised by earlier reviews that said it was a strenuous hike as I didn't find it that way at all. Just rocky, fine if you have a thick soled water shoes. I didn't realize so many other tour groups went out here, it was very crowded when we arrived at the cave. The big plus to this one is that you don't have to carry your own tubes. Abner and Abner were awesome tour guides, very attentive, friendly and fun!!

Fab was fabulous as a guide and full of local information to fill the 1hr trip to the caves. Nady was a great tuber guide and got us ahead of the bigger crowds so we could enjoy a more quieter times in the caves, again she was amazing with great knowledge of the cave system, but a good paddler. Recommend!

Cave Tubing was Awesome!

This cave tubing shore excursion was one of the best things we have done on vacation. We were worried about missing the excursion because Carnival was slow on loading the tender boats, but I called Viator and they assured me they would wait for us. Barry was very informative about the culture, beauty, and history of Belize as we drove to the cave. Once there, we saw all kinds of other excursions having their guests carry their tubes up the hike to the caves. Viator hauls the tubes for you and they were waiting for us at the cave. Also, lots of other excursions got out of the river right after the caves. We continued tubing for another 20 - 30 minutes. We were so glad we booked with Viator. The cave tubing experience felt like something out of a movie. It was so cool! The scenery was gorgeous. Barry pointed out several natural formations in the cave and then we got to enjoy swimming in the river during the last portion of the excursion. My kids, 17, 14 and 11 loved this excursion. My husband and I loved it too. It was worth the money and Viator provided the best experience.

We weren’t able to take the tour we paid for because they don’t care about the reservations, they just fill the bus and leave. The directions weren’t clear of where to meet and while looking for the tour operator, we were told the tour had already left. Unfortunately others who were on the same ferry as us ended up getting on the bus but because it was full, they then left leaving us stranded and only gave us a partial refund. Don’t think you are protected from being scammed just because you buy from Viator

The general shared tours depart at a specific time. The private tours depart as soon as the they arrive. Your ticket was a shared general tour and you missed that by 45 minutes. Those that arrive ontime waited 10 minutes and started. You arrived 45 minutes later. The guest that arrived later anddid their tour were on a private tour.

Had a good time! Driver/guide were excellent and super informative. Caves were very crowded the day we went (3 ships in port). Being tethered to strangers is a crap shoot. We were, unfortunately, tethered to a Karen, which took away from the experience a bit but, no fault of the tour company. They were excellent. If I had it to do again I would probably kayak vs tube, just to be able to navigate more independently. Stunning caves and river and the hike was lovely too. Would have liked more info about the caves during the float... what little the guide said, I couldn't hear from the back. Would still recommend!

We did this excursion 10 years ago and had to do it again! We had a blast! Our tour guide was great! On the hour long drive, he shared interesting facts about the city. He also shared fun facts as we trekked through the jungle. We were able to taste coconut and a plant. So fun! It was a perfect day!
