Experiencing the Big Island

I’m from Alabama so every stop I experienced a new adventure. The water falls, tube, the black sand beach, the National Park, volcanoes and the food. The scenic view was breathtaking. The tour took us around the entire island so we experienced so many climates in one day. The waterfalls were amazing and peaceful. The Hilo downtown was very a great history lesson. The Volcano was amazing because I was actually looking at an active volcano. Standing over the steam was like a chemistry lesson up close and personally. I’m 62years old and I will never forget how excited I was to take the tour and how that experience will last me for a lifetime. Our tour guide Dominique was awesome. He was so personal and very knowledgeable about the island. I learned so much about Hawaii from him.
No Way To Travel

The tour company(Hawaii Outdoor Guides) failed to show up for our scheduled 6:30 pickup. No call from the tour company at all. We waited from 6:15 til almost 8:00 am and no call. I left a message with Hawaii Outdoor Guides and did NOT receive any sort of follow up call from them apologizing. Perillo Tours did get an answer saying the guide was ill. Would not recommend any business with a company that operates this way.

Walking through the lava tube was great, looking down at the vacano ,see the steam coming out the vacano was great, water fall was huge , Dominic our tour guide was great, very knowledgeable of the history, all about the island, the places to visit. thanks

Our tour guide, Katie, was amazing; she was a wealth of knowledge about Hawaii. We basically did a tour around the entire island, stopping at many features along the way -- volcanoes, green sea turtles, black sand beach, waterfalls, etc. The lunch that was included was very good, and she provided snacks and bottled water. Katie was amazing. She went on all the excursions with us and gave us a lot of information. It felt like a private tour even though we were in a group. We got lucky and there were only 5 people in the group which helped keep it extra intimate.

It was awesome! Katie was our guide & she was so knowledgeable. She prepared us for what to expect at the next stop as well as restrooms. That being my important since we had a 10 year old. Katie went over & beyond. We took a tour almost like this in 2007, but this one was outstanding in comparison. We’d do this tour again in a heartbeat!!

Katie was an excellent guide. She was friendly and super informative. The tour consisted of many different stops and all were breathtaking. Seeing the history of Kona, Hilo, etc was an experience we will never forget. Thank you for the memories! Well worth it…did everything we wanted to see in 1 day and left plenty of time for beach, pool & relaxation. Came away with tons of knowledge and many suggestions. Thank you, Katie. This is a must do!

The tour was great and definitely a good way to see a lot of the big island in just one day. Our guide, Katie, was exceptional and was able to show us lots of great sites in Volcano National Park even though several areas are still closed for COVID. She was very cautious about masks and I felt my family was safe all day. Personally I think I had a different expectation of the park but that was just more perception of what a volcano looked like and what we are able to see. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone that wants more of a guided tour of the island.

This was literally the best tour I've ever been on! First, Katie picked us up from our hotel in Waikoloa Beach, and our first stop was within minutes of picking us up. The whole day was full of so many amazing stops, along with stories and history of the island, and it was so worth every penny we paid. Seriously, if you are visiting the big island, carve out a day for this. You will not be disappointed!!! P.S. Katie was the BOMB DIGGITY!
