Great way to see the Big Island

Great App for Limited Time on Big Island

I purchased this self-guided tour for my family and I to use while touring the Big Island over several days. While we had a few other activities planned, we wanted something that would be easy to utilize but helpful with doing a "Circle Island" drive. The Audio tour provided a lot of rich content (delivered by a friendly sounding narrator) with possible points of interest along the way as well as other facts and tidbits about the history of the Big Island and Hawaii as a whole. One of my favorite features is that when going back through a road we had already crossed through, the narrator provided all new content. Since the tour never expires, we look forward to using it again on a future trip to the Big Island.

What a perfect app to help tourists navigate. Very cheap cost wise but super informative. As a family, we looked forward to what information was going to come next. The app was spot on wherever we were and gave great historical info in between the highlights. The app even advised when the ability to find food and drink would be limited. We used the app to navigate The Big Island in Hawaii. We really enjoyed going at our own pace. There are apps for other states. Highly recommend.

My daughter and myself were able to explore the island, truly guided on even where to park, what to anticipate after each site, precautions, history, stories, directions, it was beautiful! Audio was well worth money spent, especially enjoyed the history lesson on Hawaiian culture. Tour is set up from Keno not Hilo. So we went backwards, should also have for Hilo

You're right, while the tour can be started from Kona, Kohala or Hilo (or joined from anywhere along the route) our tour is structured to suit the majority of visitors that stay on the Kona side. As Hilo is so much closer to Volcanoes National Park the commentary on this segment is shorter, or you can drive north from Hilo around the Hamakua Coast for the full experience like the other direction. For the majority (95% or so) of visitors that stay on the Kona side, the drive to and from Volcanoes National Park is where we spend most of the time sharing stories (different in each direction!) to break up this longer drive, as there's only a couple of places along the way to stop for. We're glad to hear that you found the audio tour of great value, and hope that you'll continue to enjoy the commentary for many years to come, no matter where you choose to stay on the island.
