The Blue Mountains is a beautiful area to explore but if you want to get up close and embark upon a real adventure, book this guided abseiling and canyon tour. The first half of the day is spent abseiling, beginning with small cliffs and building up to those more challenging ones. After an included lunch walk to the start of the canyon, wade into a creek, and jump into a rock pool. After some exhilarating water jumps and swims, abseil out of the canyon and into the rock pool below.

Amazing experience but be prepared!

Expert tour guides with expertise in canyoning/ rappelling as well as the local plants/ animals/ rock formations. Stunning/ immersive views of the canyons. Not for the faint of heart. Be aware that you will be walking through knee/ waist high water on an uneven/ rocky bottom that you can’t always see. Slips and falls, bumps and bruises are just par for the course if you have no previous experience. Also be aware that you must walk up the same distance you go down. According to our Apple Watches, it was about 35 flights of stairs to climb back up from the canyon. If you can tolerate the risk and don’t mind a good hike, it is well worth it! Would definitely do again.

There are a lot of different ways to see the Blue Mountains but none quite like this! Exciting, adventurous, memorable! I was staying in central Sydney & was nervous about the commute to Katoomba. It ended up being an easy train ride (about 2 hours) that leaves you within steps of the meeting spot for the trek. Everything about the day was great. The morning was helpful to learn about what we would be doing. Lunch was delicious. And the afternoon hours were simply unforgettable. As someone in their 20s, it is sometimes tough to find tours that get you the sites while keeping you having fun. This one fit the bill and then some! I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

My son and I just love the abseiling and we had the opportunity to also go rockclimbing although I was scared Ben put my mind at ease everything was great we had the Most memorable in fact my son said it was the best present he ever got for his birthday (24 yrs) I reminded him that he had said that when he got his Bionicle‘s (8 yrs)
