What To Expect

After pickup from your Bora Bora hotel or Vaitape Pier at your chosen departure time, board the 4WD vehicle, perfect for scaling any mountain or rough track on the volcanic island. The truck has a shaded roof and open sides for optimal viewing throughout your tour.

Your expert guide circles the entire island—an approximate 20-mile (32-km) route around Bora Bora. Stop at a lookout point at East Matira for exceptional views of the sparkling lagoon bordered by lush green mountainsides. Follow up with more vistas from the Faanui Canon lookout and find evidence left behind by US troops after WWII.

When the 4x4 truck reaches the Faanui Valley, watch artisans demonstrate how to create tie-dye sarongs and make coconut oil, and sample tropical fruits at a small plantation. Your last stop is the Amanahune Bay lookout, which features more stunning views along with rock formations that were once inside the volcanic caldera of Bora Bora.

If you selected the sunset tour, sip a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and listen to live local music while watching the sun slip past the horizon.

Your circle-island 4WD tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

We took this tour to kill some time before an afternoon flight. The tour took us around the entire island. There were some nice views and exciting 4x4 drives up very steep roads. There isn't really much to see in Bora Bora on land, but it was a good way to get to know the island. The best part of the tour was the information provided by the guide. A lot of history and local culture. I would recommend this tour. Only negative and that we never received a confirmation of the pickup time, so we ended up getting only a minute notice. However, the company was very flexible and waited for us and accommodate our luggage.

Our guide Manu did good job. He was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He took us through the stunning meandering mountain scenery and explained in detail the origins and background of Bora Bora. The trail was a bit rough but the views were worth every penny.

Nice way to see the island. Bora bora is not a big. 2 of the stops up the hill you really need a 4WD vehicle to get up there. Without renting a car or biking this is a good way to get a tour around the island. Our guides were very attentive and overall it was a very nice half day.

Phenomenal tour! Moana was an AWESOME guide! We learned a lot, and he answered all the questions we had. The view points he took us to were breathtaking, and the history element with WWII and the cannons was very interesting to see and hear about. Highly recommended!
