What To Expect

Once the catamaran pulls up to the dock at your hotel, step aboard and meet your hostess. Find a sunbed and sit back to enjoy the ride while your hostess makes sure you are comfortable. Watch as your captain hoists the sails, cuts the engine, and the boat glides soundlessly out into the waters surrounding Bora Bora.

Listen to chill music and dig into the provided snacks. Your captain will find the perfect spot to watch the sunset over Otemanu Mountain, during which you can sip a glass of sparkling wine.

Conclude the tour back at your hotel's dock.

Our guides were amazing. I can’t recall their names but the female guide took the time to get to know us and we had great conversation. She also took the most amazing pictures of us. They served us drinks and snacks and made sure we had a beautiful experience. I really can’t say enough about this trip. If you are on the fence about this sunset cruise, do it! You will not regret it! It was the perfect way to end our trip.

This was definitely a highlight during our anniversary trip to Bora Bora! The Captain and 1st mate were incredibly friendly and great to talk to. They supplied delicious rum punch and snacks on the sail and helped us capture beautiful pictures to remember the moment! My husband and I loved every second.

Beautiful, well-kept boat conveniently docked at our hotel, the St. Regis. This excursion couldn't have been any easier or more enjoyable. We were lucky to have perfect conditions with a light wind, warm air and a few scattered clouds to refract the sunset. Drinks and snacks were light enough so as not to spoil our dinner plans that followed. Highly recommend this sunset cruise!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to the French Polynesia! Amy and Clements were amazing! They were so gracious to all passengers on board, making sure each of us felt valued. We’ve done a lot of sunset cruises. The sun always sets and is beautiful. There are always drinks and snacks. What makes this one the best ever is he crew of the boat. Elise and Victor were the most personable crew I’ve ever seen. They wanted to talk to you, get to know you, and you get to know them. It doesn’t cost anything to be nice, but it’s priceless. Highly recommended!

Vitamin Sea - food for the soul

My wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in Bora Bora. After researching the sunset sailing cruises, Vitamin Sea (mored at St Regis) always came up. I spoke to the concierge at our resort (Four Seasons) and upon her recommendation, I booked it through Viator and the operator offered to pick us up. I will say that the Four Seasons also offers bookings for Vitamin Sea…but as you can expect, with a customary mark-up. To start off…the Vitamin Sea crew coordinated our pickup with our hotel the week prior to our arrival. On THE day, the boat arrived on time to pick us up at the Four Seasons dock, the highly professional crew greeted us, welcomed us on board the immaculately kept racing catamaran. After removing our shoe, we had our choice of several Matt areas, set up for couples - each in its own quadrant with its own beach towel neatly rolled & placed. Note: this is as private and intimate a sail-cruise you can book at an affordable price. Aboard with me was my wife and I (the “old ones”), a cute young newlywed couple from New York City and a vibrant nurse solo traveler from New Orleans celebrating her 42nd birthday. Once boarded, we all chatted introducing one another…then we were off to the races. We tacked northwest for a good 45 minuted under full sail to find a good spot to anchor to catch the sunset. Then it was cocktail & snack time (a fresh local recipe cold rum punch was most popular, as was Hinano beer, another local specialty) we took many pictures waiting for the gorgeous Tahitian sunset! While we were waiting, a typical rainy season event happened as a storm to end all storms passed in the distance as the wind peaked up - thankfully never got close. Following a wonderful sunset, we set sail back towards the hotels to drop the others off at their hotel, and we were off to dinner. All in, just over 2 hours on board the Vitamin Sea - we made a great memory for the books - thank you! The whole process was smooth, easy & super fun. If you want to see the island of Bora Bora, the Vitamin Sea is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, don’t think twice!
