What To Expect
Set out for the Bora Bora lagoons during a memorable day of snorkeling, starting with hotel or port pickup. Board your powerboat and cruise over turquoise waters fringed by lush coastline, and soak up stunning views en route to your first lagoon.
Hop into the shallow water and slip on the provided snorkel and mask to begin your stingray experience. Your guide shows you how to interact with the tame stingrays, which have adapted well to human feedings in the area. Get a close look or even touch the graceful rays as they swim right up to you!
On the way to your next stop, search the crystal-clear waters for manta rays gliding past. You’ll arrive at a prime snorkeling spot above a colorful coral garden where you can observe the marine life from the boat or marvel at the multitude of fish through your snorkel mask.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, your guide takes you to a private motu (small island) for a freshly prepared buffet lunch. Sink your teeth into grilled steak, chicken, fish, salads and fruit.
Afterward, follow your guide on a short hike to the island's summit for panoramic views, and reward yourself with a dip in the sea or a stroll along the shoreline. When you hear the unmistakable sound of a conch shell being blown, you'll be entertained by a coconut husking demonstration and live music before your full-day Bora Bora tour returns to the starting point.

Our tour guide was Moana and he was excellent. I give this review because he and the tour are worthy of sharing. All three snorkeling stops were great. We swam with about 20 or more reef sharks which calmly swam around the boat, seemingly curious and harmless. Another spot we saw a couple of rays, which were more shy. The coral snorkel spot was probably the best snorkeling I have experienced, with thousands of colorful fish and large, beautiful coral structures. It was drizzling rain a bit but it didn't interfere with the snorkeling. The ride back was a bit cool due to the rain, even though the boat was covered. We should have brought a larger towel. The lunch was delicious, on a small island, and the coconut and cultural presentation will be remembered as another highlight. I definitely recommend this tour!

Not a good quality boat. Unsafe! No safety talk. Kept running out of gas on the way back. Seeing and swimming with the black tip sharks was great. Stingrays just ok. Eagle rays- too deep down to see spots. It rained hard on the way back. No protection. Just cover on top. No side covers. We all got soaked, cold.. Horrible trip coming back. Would not recommend Vavau tours.

The 3 snorkeling spots were 3 different styles. We love the all. Feel free to ask for a life vest for the deep water spot (second one), lol. The lunch-in-the-water is also amazing! So unforgettable.

I don't even know where to start but will simply say, DON'T THINK TWICE...BOOK IT NOW! This was such an incredible experience. Swimming with the reef sharks was the most exciting, incredible, exhilarating thing we had ever done. We go on snorkel tours whenever we travel because we love snorkeling and this was by far the greatest. The sharks come right up the boat at the first stop (deep water) as soon as you stop. The water is so clear to be so deep. You can see straight to the bottom and the sharks just circle around you while you're in the water. Manu the guide is hilarious. He and his cousin played music for us while we were on the water, told us facts about the island and took us to their private motu where Manu's aunt and grandmother live. Beautiful views from the motu and you can eat at picnic tables in the water. At the motu you learn how to shuck a coconut and can even make some tie-dye art for $10 USD which turned out to be our favorite souvenir from the trip. The food at the motu was the best food we had on the island and we stayed with the locals so we tried a variety of restaurants. The coral gardens were also amazing. When you leave the coral gardens, the water is simply breathtaking. We took lots of pictures on the boat during this part. We sat on the front portion of the boat so we had unobstructed views. Highly recommend this if you don't mind being in the sun. Best snorkel adventure and you won't be disappointed.

We loved our day with this wonderful family!
Went to their Motu for lunch and demonstration husking a coconut and made our own tie dye swimsuit wrap!
We look forward to our next time back we will definitely book with this family again!!

Our guides Manu and Rai were fantastic. They were fun and informative.
They took us to great snorkelling spots and we had a fantastic lunch and interesting afternoon on the Motu.

A family affair

My wife and I had the time of our lives. What made this trip perfect, was our guides. Mano, and forgive me for forgetting his cousin’s name. They made everyone feel like family. They played guitar and drums and sang to us as they were driving the boat. Took us to their family for lunch. We made tie dye serongs, learned how to shuck coconuts. They treated us like we were family and that made the trip worth while. Now the snorkeling with the rays and sharks was an experience no one will ever forget. But the family affair was truly the best. And from my wife and I, we thank you.

Manu and his family were great hosts. They took us to several awesome spots varying in depth and sights. Swam around with more black tip reef sharks than you could count, stingrays as well. Snorkeling by the reefs was awesome, clear water and plenty of sights to see. We rounded out the day on their island and had a local lunch and learned some local activities. My wife and I loved the whole experience and we don’t think anyone would regret going. Mauruuru! 🤙🏼

Beautiful trip visiting 3 snorkeling sites, swimming with sharks and sting rays. Coral Gardens is a very nice snorkeling site and then a nice lunch on the motu island and relaxing with an awesome view. Very friendly crew and they played music for us and sang. Highly recommended.
