What To Expect

This live-guided tour of the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum ushers visitors through authentically restored tea ships and traditional Boston museum exhibits. This floating museum provides the opportunity to explore and learn about the people, events, and consequences that led up to the American Revolution—all in the order in which they occurred back in 1773. Get a sense of what life was like in 18th-century Boston.

At the Meeting House, hear the story of the night of December 16, 1773, and get ready to dump tea alongside the patriots. Explore two authentically restored tea ships—the Eleanor and the Beaver.

Inside the museum, see the Robinson Half Chest, one of only two original tea chests that was dumped into the Boston Harbor that night.

Since I have lupus I can not stay in sun so I was allowed to sit in shade.
Even with the Covid restrictions it was worth every penny.

Such a great delivery of the facts surrounding the Tea Party! So many fun interactive presentations made this the most fun AND the most informative experience of our 3day visit! The town hall meeting with Samual Adams in costume and each of us with a card of someone who was actually there was fun. And actually getting a chance to throw “tea” into the water off a boat was great! The “paintings “ on the wall having a conversation was beside engaging! And a hologram of two puritan women talking was intriguing. We loved seeing a surviving tea crate from that day! Yea sampling ended our day on a high. We ALL, young and old never lost interest! A job well done! Thanks “Tea Party Museum”!!

The most memorable part of this visit was the interactive videos shown inside the museum. This made it easy for everyone to understand part of the American history if you are unfamiliar with it. Also, everyone got the chance to participate in the throwing of the tea. Lastly, the gift shop has very good prices for souvenirs!

A quick 1 hour overview of The Boston Tea Party with 2 kids age 10 & 13. Toured the ship, quickly tossed in the crates of tea, watched an informative video, and explored the gift shop. Not really a museum IMO, but it was enjoyable and informative. The guides wove in humor and shared a good amount of history. 1 hour was the perfect length. Enjoyed a scone and oatmeal cookie afterwards in their cafe.
