Our tour guide Laurent was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable about Boston and Cape Cod. We learned a lot about the area. Martha's Vineyard was beautiful. The people were amazing, the food was delicious. We all had a wonderful time and are even discussing when we will go again.

Martha's Vineyard
Rita_P, Sept 2023
The pick-up at Longwharf was great, and Elaine, our guide to and through Cape Cod was lovely and interesting. As was the ferry ride to Martha's Vineyard and back. Once on the island, Tom, our guide was interesting and very knowledgable. It was obvious that he loved his island and its way of life. But we were unable to see most of what he pointed out - partly because there was traffic backed up behind him and he had to whiz on by, and partly because the bus was large, tall and not at all conducive to sightseeing. And partly, I suppose, because there was little to see! The one stop that we would have really enjoyed more time at, the lighthouse, was only 20 minutes, barely long enough to quickly see the lighthouse and use the facilities.
Great trip to a beautiful island!
Joanna_Z, Sept 2023
I can really recommend this trip! The drive with Jennifer to the island queen ferry was great and funny. And the the 3 hours bus trip with Tom, our guide on the island was very educated, interesting and funny. Thank you for a great experience!
Ted and Melin's Vacation
Ted_L, Sept 2023
The drive to the ferry was memorable due to our driver Jennifer. She kept us informed and had us laughing without neglecting her driving duties. Ferry ride was a little choppy but still okay. Our tour guide was great. Who knew the island had so much history but Tom made sure we were educated about the island.
Fun experience.
Luis_R, Sept 2023
I enjoyed listening to its history. The views around the island were beautiful. That is all I have to say.
The Good, Bad, and the Ugly
Dennis_A, Sept 2023
The Ferry ride to and from the Island was a little rough for my wife and great for me.. Tom, the Island tour guide, was knowledgeable and fun. The converted school bus was awful. Edgartown was interesting. Having hours to ourselves in Oaks Bluff was not enjoyable. Need more time in Edgartown and less in Oaks Bluff. Jennifer, the New England Trip bus driver originating in Boston was terrific.
Response from Host, Sept 2023
Thank you for your 4 Star review of our Martha's Vineyard Day trip from Boston. I am glad that you enjoyed both Jennifer and Tom. Most guests love the free time in Oak Bluffs to have an oceanfront lunch and visit the gingerbread cottages. Sorry if you did not. Thanks for the feedback. Kind Regards Stephen M. Perfect all day tour
David_M, Sept 2023
I had an entire day to fill and this was perfect! Even the hotel pickup and 90 minute drive to Falmouth was a pleasure with Elaine pointing out historical landmarks between pick-ups. The optional tour was a good idea. Tom drove us around in his big bus to different little towns and as a lifetime local her really knew his stuff. On the way back Elaine was able to take backroads to keep us out of most of the heavy traffic on the way back to Boston. Much appreciated. A good day all around.
Response from Host, Sept 2023

Like you said, it's the perfect way to spend a day! I appreciate you sharing your experience. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

Dennis_J, Sept 2023
We enjoyed the bus ride and kind driver, Jenny, who was informative and funny. We also enjoyed the ferry ride to the island but were frustrated by our tour guide, Gorge. He was a very nice man and a safe driver but was very scattered in his presentation. We tried to listen attentively but he rarely finished a thought or sentence before pointing out something of no relevance: the Dairy Queen or some celebrity’s driveway. There were interesting points he gestured to: a craft fair, wildlife sanctuary or delicious smelling bbq restaurant, but we never stopped to explore those possibilities.
Response from Host, Sept 2023
Thank you for your review. I'm sorry if you didn't enjoy Jorge's island tour. I think that it"s pretty clear what stops are included in the tour. He obviously can't stop somewhere else just because he's talking about it. I appreciate your feedback. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
Great experience despite horrible weather
Olga_F, Sept 2023
Despite whole day raining and horrible traffic, we had a great time. Everything was well organized and in timely manner; in addition, our conductor Laurendt was excellent.

A-MAZING!
Linda_P, Sept 2023
We enjoyed the rich history of the island. It was shocking to learn that there are no vineyards, few grapes and no wine ever produced!
Response from Host, Sept 2023

Plus and Minus for Tour
GLENT_Y, Sept 2023
Pickup at hotel was on time 6:15AM. Return ran into significant traffic (due to forecast of storm). We returned to hotel 7PM. Enjoyed most was Island tour option, and island's history commentaries by island's bus driver. Caveat, there is no covered waiting area and very little sitting benches for Island Queen Ferry boarding/waiting area at Martha's Vineyard dock. For our tour, on return we stood waiting more than an hour in hot sun on September 14, 2023. Alas, I left my cap at hotel and we brought only one umbrella for 4 people.
Response from Host, Sept 2023
Thank you for the 4 Star review of our Martha's Vineyard Day trip from Boston. I am glad that you enjoyed your island tour. I am not exactly sure why you stood anywhere for an hour as we advise you to get back to the ferry boarding area 15 minutes before departure. You must have walked by a hundred shops where you could have purchased a new cap if you wanted. I hope that you didn't get a sunburn. Thanks for sharing your experience. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
Great trip and professionally run
Neil_H, Sept 2023
Great day trip from Boston- door to door service with pickup at our hotel. The vineyard is a quaint and quirky place. Driver Jen was excellent and the owner Steve went above and beyond to assist us during the tour when we left a phone on a bench at one of the stops- he called the restaurant nearby and got them to save it for us to return after the round island tour. Highly recommended tour.
Response from Host, Sept 2023

Tom, Tom & More Tom. If you are coming for a Tour of MV you'll know more about Tom the bus driver
Kristin_L, Sept 2023
I don't give reviews but since I've now gotten 3 emails requesting one... here it goes. The tour of Martha's Vineyard I think would have been great if I had one of these other tour guides that sound so AWESOME! I'm pretty sure my tour guide was Tom. That was the name on the sign above the bus door. He never introduced himself so I could be wrong on his name. I know more about Tom's life than I do Martha's Vineyard. Tom shared numerous times how poor he was and that he had 3 jobs just to live on the island and would really appreciate tips at the end. We hadn't even started the tour yet. But I can tell you all about Tom. His wife is a phlebotomist at the hospital. However, his wife's family owns an oyster or scallop farm and lives next door to a house that Bill Clinton rented out every time he was in town for 8 years and the Clinton's never paid rent. Tom and his family were invited to the White House to be vetted for security reasons. While there his kids were wearing basketball jersey's because they went to a professional basketball game and were signed by the then president . He got a cheeseburger with Bill Clinton on the beach one time and his wife danced with Bill Clinton at a party art Ted Danson's house but Tom can't afford to live here. He is also very upset that when he was 16 years old and had long hair he and his friends were extras in the movie Jaws and he's never been paid a penny for that, which makes him very upset. He pointed out where Obama lives on Prospect drive for 4 years and that they have no idea just how the Chef died (we all know how the chef died.. give me a break) lol & how much the Obama girls hated being on the island. He showed us where Kamala Harris and Michelle Obama just had a fundraiser and raised a bunch of money for the island to buy back property so no one could build on it. He actually turned off on a dirt road to show us where the news people set up when the Obama's came to town.! That was exciting!!! He also pointed out where John Belushi's house was all boarded up after he overdosed on drugs. We learned that the 2 Kennedys deaths were exactly 30 years apart to the day on either side of the Island. Oh and Michelle Obama really liked the local library. Tom also sells scallops on Wed, Thurs and Fridays so he can afford to live on the island he also raises bees. I couldn't tell you anything about Martha's Vineyard, the history or anything for that matter. Oh wait.. he did mention something about Native Americans. This was my first time to the East coast and to Martha's Vineyard. I came because my Mom grew up going to Martha's Vineyard. She passed away a few years ago and I just wanted to learn about the island she talked about my entire childhood. I wanted to learn the history and to see the white houses with black shutters & the light houses that she loved so much. I did see the houses, one light house and I did have clam chowder for the first time. So, the trip wasn't a complete bust. I didn't think I had signed up for a political bus tour though. It was disappointing to say the least. I would just like to tell Tom... it's not all about him and asking for tips prior to starting the tour and then making the tour all about you and your family and your obsession with former presidents and famous people was exhausting. I honestly wouldn't recommend this tour with Tom to anyone. I am sad that he has to have 3 jobs and his wife 1 job to live on Martha's Vineyard and I probably wouldn't have given him a tip if I didn't feel that it was expected.

Thank you for the review. You are a very good listener. Sorry that you didn't enjoy the tour. Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
Free will travels
Mandy_W, Sept 2023
Eileen was a friendly safe driver, informative, entertaining and would definitely recommend her to anyone! The trip to Martha’s was a great time even though we didn’t take the tour with the group. We made our own trip out of it by renting a moped and went to eat at Biscuits, see Island Alpacas and lastly, Aquinnah Cliffs which was breathtaking. Worth every 40 minutes ride to there and back. I’d recommend this exact trip for anyone.
Response from Host, Sept 2023

Bucket list item, ✔️
Janet_W, Sept 2023
Actually not part of Viator but after arrival to the island, we rented a mini cooper. That made us able to see the whole island on our own schedule. Wonderful! They were available just steps from the ferry.
Response from Host, Sept 2023

Good trip for most part
Whitney_J, Sept 2023
Enjoyable trip for the most part. Drivers were very knowledgeable of the area. I would like to challenge the owner of this company to ride in the back row of this bus with their foot propped up on the wheel for the entire duration of the ride to confirm if this in an acceptable seat to sell. Tight fit and very uncomfortable.
Response from Host, Sept 2023
Thank you for your 4 Star review. Unfortunately, I did not design the bus. These are standard mini-coach buses. The option would be not to sell those seats and then you or someone else would not have been able to enjoy Martha's Vineyard. Thanks for the feedback. Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
