Viator made mistake, did not send my tour purchase information to tour operator, no refund given

I purchased this tour for me and my son and paid $317.88 for the tour. The tour date was 24 Dec 2022. On 24 Dec 2022, when I arrived at the departure point and gave printed Viator tour purchase information to the tour operator (Tangalooma tours), the lady at the ticket booth/tour office said they have NOT received any tour purchase information from the Viator for my purchased trip. But they believed I have purchased this tour at Viator website after looking at the printed A4 sheets of paper showing my Viator (Day Cruise to Tangalooma Island Resort on Moreton Island) purchase information but tour operator said, the tour activity that I have selected 'ATV Quad bike ride' is fully booked out so I have to select a different tour activity. The only other ATV ride which was available was a Twin ATV bike ride, not the solo ATV bike ride and because my son does not have the drivers license which is required to drive the Twin ATV bike, only I could be the person driving the Twin ATV. That's not what I wanted and that is not what my son wanted. Also that twin ATV bike ride activity which the tour operator swapped for me starts at 3pm but I had to go back to the ferry by 3:30pm so me and my son could not participate on that twin ATV ride. I have asked Viator to refund the money I have paid for this trip but all they said was "Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer a refund." They didn't specify the reason WHY they are unable to offer a refund after receiving the money I've paid for this tour. The ferry arrived at the Tangalooma island around 11:30am and all passengers had to return to the ferry by 3.30pm. So basically the tourists can stay at the island for 4 hours only and considering the fact that people need to spent time buying/having lunch and need time for changing clothes & walking to the tour office, ask questions etc. , tourists participating on this tour (Day Cruise to Tangalooma Island Resort on Moreton Island) can only do 2 different activities (practically I would say only 1). And I could not participate on the ATV ride that I selected at all because I had to return to the ferry by 3:30pm. Viator ruined my day but Viator doesn't want to refund the money I've paid for this tour so now I will contact my credit card issuer, notify this fraudulent transaction in order to get the money I paid for this trip. I strongly discommend buying this tour, the tour operates for 4 hours only, ferry is very slow (takes 1.5 hours to get to the island and 1.5 hours to come back) there's a good chance that Viator will forget to send tour purchase information to the tour operator, your selected tour activity can be replaced by another (less popular) one, and Viator won't refund money paid by tourists if that happens.

We arrived on a rainy overcast day to do the sand dunes. We pretty much knew straight away we wouldn’t be sliding on the slopes so we ended up paying excess money for a tour we didn’t really want to do as it was heavy rain when the time came. No offers of compensation. Next time we will just get the ferry over

Super mais physique, il est difficile de monter la dune plus de deux fois sans être sportif. Il est propose 2 descentes une pentue et une moins pentue autant faire la plus raide pour avoir plus de sensations. Le paysage est magnifique, prendre 1 housse étanche pour mettre le téléphone et faire de super photo. Il faut être pieds nus pour monter la dune et si beau temps mettre de la crème solaire :)
