Great Views, Not Worth the Travel Time

I have mixed feelings about this day excursion from Brisbane. The person I travelled with loved it, though admittedly is more of a beach person than I am. The views from the walk on Stradbroke Island are amazing. The water is gorgeous, not too cold, and then sand does not burn your feet. This guided experience also stops at Brown Lake. It begins with a drive from Brisbane city center (145 Ann Street) of about 50 minutes, followed by a ferry ride (45 minutes). Driving between places adds to the journey time as well. For me, the time it took to get places was simply not worth the time there. Also, our guide/driver was quite aggressive behind the wheel and myself (along with at least two others) did not always feel safe. Also, a bottle of water is provided at the beach (the last stop), therefore it is necessary to bring your own drink or ask for it earlier in the trip. A hat, water, and sun block are essential.

Really great tour. From the prompt pick-up to the on-time drop off there was nothing to fault. Our driver/guide Katie was excellent. She engaged everyone in the day and kept the activities running on time. The Island is beautiful and I felt we saw the highlights. There was a good combination of sightseeing, a walking tour and free time at a simply beautiful beach.

Great trip to Straddie! It was the perfect day of site seeing and eating local food! It was unfortunate that we were not informed that there would be opportunities to swim as we didn't bring any swimming attire.

Orlando was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. North Stradbroke Island is an amazing place and I enjoyed the wide range of activities. Enjoyed the tour of North Strathbroke Island! Our tour guide, Orlando has shown us great places of the Island, he took time to explain the history behind the Island, explained great insights on places that we've visited on the Island. Had a good time with bunch of the group. It's great to have a tour guide along and going with a small group of travellers, especially if it's your first time going to a place. Also, you have opportunity to make some friends & connections along the way.

Perfect for single traveller and/or small group! I had a tour with group of 10 and a van was super clean in my first impression. Tour guide gave us plenty of time for us to look around and enjoy. Tour ran on time. We had diverse range of age in the group and we all get along well - made me feel like traveling with family :) Definitely 5 star to travel with hit the road!
